As I walk towards them, Charlotte raises her head and smiles at me.
"Hello Alvin" she says smiling.
"Hi Charlotte, how was your weekend?" I ask her returning her smile.
"Brilliant" she says.
The girl standing besides her smiles at me. She has got a dazzling smile and I feel as if my heart will stop beating. Her smile reaches her beautiful honey eyes which makes her look even more beautiful.
"Oh! sorry. I forgot to introduce the two of you" Charlotte says.
"Alvin, this is my childhood best friend Scarlette" she says introducing her friend.
Scarlette, the name suits her perfectly and adds beauty to her.
"And this is Alvin, my classmate" Charlotte says introducing me to her beautiful friend.
"Hello Scarlette, nice to meet you" I say smiling and extending my hand.
Scarlette smiles her dazzling smile and takes my hand. Her very touch feels so warm. I feel as if my heart is warming up and I feel calm all of a sudden as if she is already controlling my emotion.
"Hi Alvin, good to see you" she says releasing her hand.
"I have never seen you here before" I say looking at her.
"Yes, I just arrived from London yesterday" she says making an eye contact. I feel as if my heart will stop beating again.
"Oh!" is all I manage to say.
Scarlette's POV
Alvin seems to be quite friendly and sweet. He is tall with perfectly built body. He has got light brown hair and and light brown trimmed mustache and beard. He has got beautiful light brown eyes and sweet smile. He has got a cute look. As he talks to Charlotte, he keeps glancing at me sideways.
When I first made eye contact, I felt friendliness and some sort of connection with him.
"Shall we get going?" Charlotte finally asks.
I hadn't realized that I was looking at Alvin all this time. He notices and smiles at me. I smile back trying to hide my nervousness.
We walk towards the main building. FPU is really beautiful. I will miss my old university but I believe changes are necessary in life. We climb the stairs and head towards my new classroom.
We enter our classroom. Scarlette looks around nervously. Adele is already seated and smiles as we approach her.
"Morning Charlotte" Adele says smiling.
"Morning Adele. This is my childhood best friend Scarlette" I say returning her smile.
"Hello Adele, nice to meet you" Scarlette says smiling and extending her hand and smiling.
"Nice to meet you too, Scarlette" Adele says taking her hand and returning her smile.
"Scarlette, you can sit with me if you don't mind" Alvin says.
"Sure" Scarlette says smiling.
"You're sure?" I ask her.
"Yes" she says smiling an assuring smile.
The first two periods went quite smoothly. The teachers made Scarlette introduce herself and share a bit about education system in London. The bell rings for lunch hour and all four of us walk towards the cafeteria together.
"Where did you study previously?" Alvin asks Scarlette.
"At King's College" she replies.
"Oh!" he says.
We buy ourselves a cup of coffee and a chicken sandwich each and head outside.
"When will Cedric be back?" Alvin asks as we sit down.
"He said he will be back next week" I reply.
We chat while having our lunch. Alvin seems to be quite interested in Scarlette. The bell rings again and we head towards our classroom.
