It was Monday which meant it was Meredith first day of work today... I was being paged to a meeting which meant that I will see Meredith... when we hire someone new all the department heads have to go to the department meeting so they can introduce themselves

"okay let's make this quick I have hired a head of general and 2 PEDS guys who are sharing head of PEDS...I'm going to let them introduce themselves" says Richard
"hey guys I'm Meredith Grey...most of you know me because I previously worked here and I'm beyond excited to start working here again I will be running the general surgery department and I have a neuro attending position...that's because I specialized in two things!!well that's enough of me...alex present yourself" Derek looked at me the whole time I spoke and he continued to look at me our eyes locked but I looked away I couldn't put myself through that again
"hello everybody I'm Alex karev i was a intern here y'all might remember me I'm excited to co run the department of PEDS and excited to work with you all again"
"well that leaves me and no I have not worked here before *everyone laughs* um I am Cormac Hayes before Hopkins I used to work at Klausman Institute...you may all know Cristina yang i had the honor to work with her and I am beyond excited to work here too!!" everyone applauded for them and were individually saying congratulation
MEREDITHS POV
"congratulations" said Callie "thanks Callie I missed you so much!!" Said Meredith "come by later because I know you and hayes over their have something going on *she winks then leaves*"
*from the corner of my eye I see Derek coming my heart started pounding*

*everyone was being paged it looked like multiple traumas Alex hayes and me run to put on scrubs and run down to the ER. Their was no traumas yet they were still on their way...it was cold and everyone was outside...Cormac was behind me and Alex was beside me I could see Derek he was standing in the other side but he can clearly see me! Cormac grabs my waist and hugs me to warm me up!!*
"thanks babe" said Meredith to Cormac
*Derek knew Meredith had moved on and it made him happy but sad even though he has a girlfriend as well*
"okay everybody their are multiple traumas I need everyone to spread out and get to the closest bay" said Owen
*cormac kisses Meredith...it was quick kiss because they were about to separate...Derek sees them:/*

"okay I need neuro and general in the first ambulance" said Owen pointing at derek and Meredith they run to the ambulance
"John doe, 40ish, complains of dizziness and seems to be forgetting what happened to him, they're is obvious fluid in his stomach" said the paramedic
"okay let's get him to trauma room 1 hurry people" said Meredith and Derek right behind her
*derek was so happy that he gets to work with Meredith on her first day he doesn't want it to be awkward though*

"I need an ultrasound please"*intern hands it to her* "okay theirs fluid in his stomach which needs to be fixed in the OR dr.Shepherd any injuries you need to rule out before I take him up"
"No I'd like to get a head CT but we can do that up in the OR*he smiles at her*"
"okay great let's get him to the OR please"

*derek and Meredith were both scrubbing while the patient was being put under anesthesia*
