Baby Steps...

(Y/n) looks up at her greenette mother, giving her a cute smile as she gnaws on an apple slice, Izuku sending her a happy smile back as he sits on the sofa, cuddled up to her father, Shoto, as the TV plays the new All Might movie. Izuku holding an All Might plush close to his chest with an excited smile. Shoto, albeit slightly interested in the movie, kept an eye on their little toddler sitting happily on the living room floor. A small bowl of fruit sat in front of the toddler, full of strawberries, apple slices, orange segments and some slices of pear (Inko had encouraged them to feed her healthy snacks).

Ever since she said her first word, (Y/n) has been quite the chatterbox. She's often asked for her grandfather more often than not, even calling Izuku 'papa'. Shoto began growing rather annoyed when she called him 'papa' instead of 'daddy', he often thought that his daughter just wanted him and his dad to make up and get along. He thought his daughter was against him, that his dad had brainwashed her. Izuku, nearly all the time, had to persuade him that (Y/n) and Enji had a special relationship. They were grandfather and granddaughter, after all. But Shoto couldn't stay mad at the little girl.

Her smile could stop the most evil villains from committing the most treacherous of acts. So he ended up acting at least civil toward his father, due to Enji visiting nearly every day between patrols and work. He even spends the nights!

Luckily, much to Shoto's luck, his father was out on patrol and, much to Izuku's luck, Inko was out doing groceries. So it was just the little family. The pair watching the movie and their daughter from time to time.

"Stawby!" (Y/n) yells holding up a strawberry to her parents, smiling brightly as her parents clap and praise her, Shoto ruffling her (h/c) hair

"Good job, (Y/n)!" Izuku praises, smiling brightly

"It's pronounced strawberry, (Y/n)," Shoto corrects, pointing up to the ceiling, staring at Izuku surprised as the smaller boy hits him playfully, "What? She pronounced it wrong?"

"She's a toddler," Izuku berates, shaking his head with a half hearted sigh, a giggle cutting it off, "She's going to pronounce things differently! It sounds cute! Don't take the cuteness away from the baby! She's too cute!"

"I'm sorry, (Y/n)," Shoto says softly, looking down at the toddler who looks up at him, her big (e/c) eyes twinkling with happiness as she looks up at him, "I didn't mean to steal your cuteness..."

The toddler giggles, Shoto smiles taking that as an 'apology accepted', wrapping his arm around Izuku, the small boy snuggling into his chest with a happy smile, kissing his cheek. (Y/n) pouts cutely, wanting some affection too, however she wanted to work for it. She got so much love and attention the first time she spoke! Maybe she should start doing something new again!

"Daddy! Mama!" (Y/n) squeals, gaining their attention, Shoto pausing the movie that was playing in the background, "Look!"

Listening to their daughter, both parents sat and watch as the little girl crawls to the edge of the sofa. Shoto, understanding what she wanted, bends over to pick (Y/n) up but recoils as (Y/n) shrieks, yelling 'No!' and batting his hand away. Izuku giggles, as Shoto pulls away, hurt and goes down to pick her up instead but gasps was he receives the same reaction.
