When Grandma Looks After You

Babysitter : Inko Midoriya

Inko smiles to herself as she leans against the doorway to the living room, watching her granddaughter sit on the couch watching tv. The little girls arms wrapped around her stuffed bunny as she watches the new Deku documentary that aired the other. The documentary focusing on the young aspiring hero who went from quirkless to the Number One Hero in a matter of years. Showcasing the hero's biggest fights and biggest heartbreaks. Even having a little section on his little family!

With Izuku having countless interviews and meetings with the press and other agencies, the greenette had been exhausted. The same going for Shoto who had endured a rather tiring stakeout with DynaMight before busting a gang that had been terrorising the streets. Saying the Todoroki - Midoriya family had a busy week was an understatement.

So, to help Izuku and Shoto unwind and have a little bit of time to themselves instead of stressing themselves out, Inko had offered to babysit her granddaughter for the weekend. The grandmother more than happy to spend her weekend looking after and caring for her little angel while her son and his boyfriend spend their weekend in a hotel.

Before Inko could say a word to her granddaughter, a bright idea pops into the woman's mind and she immediately scurries to the kitchen to follow it. The woman grabbing her cookbook from the cupboard and flicking through it, her eyes lighting up at the sight of a chocolate cake recipe that would be perfect to make with her granddaughter.

Smiling to herself, Inko heads back toward the living room and sits beside (Y/n), running her fingers through her hair as (Y/n) snuggles into her grandmother. A bright smile on the six year olds lips as she looks toward her caring grandmother.

"I thought of something exciting we could do, sweetie," Inko says booping little (Y/n) on her nose making the little girl giggle, "Wanna do it?"

"What is it, grandma?" (Y/n) asks tilting her head toward her as Inko giggles and kisses her forehead, "Are we gonna play heroes?"

"Maybe later, I thought maybe we could make a big chocolate cake," Inko hums with a smile, watching as (Y/n)'s face lights up brightly and she wriggles off the couch to dart to the bathroom to wash her hands. The elder woman smiling to herself as she heads toward the kitchen, "So cute,"

Seconds later, (Y/n) teeters in with her newly washed hands. The little girl giggling toward her grandmother who helps her into her bunny themed apron and ties a bow at the back with a smile. A bright smile plays on the little girls lips as she grabs a chair from the dining room and pushes it toward the kitchen, the girl using it as a stool to reach the counter.

After getting herself ready for baking, Inko begins to weigh the ingredients for her little granddaughter who eagerly watches her. (Y/n) holding a spoon, ready to mix the ingredients together. Once all weighed out; Inko pours the sugar and the butter into the bowl and lets (Y/n) begin to cream then together. The little girl giggling as she begins to mix the two components together.

"Good girl," Inko praises as she watches (Y/n) cream the ingredients, the girl making sure the sugar and the butter are together before looking toward Inko, "Now the eggs! Do you want to do them honey?"

Eagerly nodding, (Y/n) takes two eggs and cracks them, the little girl giggling as she carefully opens the eggs over the bowl. Trying desperately to try and not get any shell into the mixture and ruin it. The girls eyes sparkling as she manages to do it successfully. While Inko praises, (Y/n) begins to mix the eggs into the mixture with a giggle, the grandmother watching her with hearts in her eyes as she takes the odd photo to add to the album later.
