Proposal

Humming a soft tune to himself, Izuku stands at the kitchen counter making cold soba for the evening. A fond smile playing on the greenette's lips as he imagines his boyfriends reaction to the plan he has for the evening to come. The male couldn't help but have a grin plastered across his face as he boils the soba noodles, he couldn't get over what was going to happen tonight. What he was planning to do for his boyfriend.

With their nine year anniversary coming up, Izuku wanted to make it the best anniversary yet. Something that they'd never forget. Something that they will share and laugh about in the future with their grandchildren and their future son or daughter - in - law. Izuku had been thoroughly planning this for a year now, spending any free time he has to hatch the perfect plan and execution of this.

Izuku, unbeknownst to Shoto, was going to propose!

He had the perfect plan. After deliberating about it and getting (Y/n) to put in her input, Izuku knew the perfect way to propose to his gorgeous boyfriend. It was airtight. No flaws in it whatsoever. It was going to be perfect! He just knew it! Shoto deserved so much, after all. Especially after he's been through so much with his family recently.

With Shoto out on patrol, Izuku had enough time to sort out the house to make it as romantic and as beautiful as possible. He had candles in almost every place he could fit them, making sure that they're all being aesthetically pleasing to the rooms. He had a red velvet table cloth draped across the dining table with a big bottle of wine in the centre for them to share. He had flower petals leading from the front door to the dining room and then from the dining room, up the stairs and into their bedroom.

It was perfect...

After placing the boiled noodles into ice cold water, making sure that it's just how Shoto likes it, Izuku begins to plate up the food. The male chuckling to himself as (Y/n) toddles in wearing her green dress for the evening. The girl having her special little role to play in the plan of proposing, after all, she did come up with the idea! She had to be there to see the outcome!

"Don't you look gorgeous," Izuku coos, kissing her button nose making her giggle and lay the table. (Y/n) setting down cutlery, chopsticks, wine glasses and plates, "Excited for tonight? Ready to help mama?"

"Yeah!" (Y/n) cheers happily, jumping up and down with a giggle, clapping her hands as Izuku ruffles her hair, "Daddy's gonna be so happy!"

"Of course he is," Izuku says, kissing her forehead before sorting out their starter dish, a simple prawn cocktail (chicken dippers and salad for his daughter), the male slicing up cucumbers and tomatoes, "Because daddy's very special to me, and you never know, maybe one day your special someone will propose to you,"

Giggling, (Y/n) nods happily and snuggles into Izuku's leg. Her eyes shimmering with glee before squealing as Shoto opens the front door. The little girl barrels toward her father who chuckles and picks her up, holding her to his chest with a smile and kisses her cheek. (Y/n) snuggles into him, smiling wider than ever making him chuckle as he looks around and arches a brow.

Rose petals?... Does Izuku know that (Y/n) is with them?...

Arching a brow, Shoto follows the trail of rose petals through the hallway and into the kitchen diner where Izuku stood with a smile. The greenette rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly as Shoto looks around with a fond smile.
