Inko had to take charge whenever (Y/n) came down with something. Whether it be a cold, a fever, a stomach ache or even a headache. She had to be the one to take charge and make sure (Y/n) was being looked after property. Often overseeing her son and son - in - law's ways of trying to get (Y/n) better. More often than not, she had to take over in case they almost fed her too much medicine or put too many blankets onto her.

Despite being able to take down countless villains, spar against the greatest of heroes and stand in front of adoring crowds. The boys often get stumped when a new hurdle cropped up during their life of parenting. They managed to overcome dressing her. They overcame what to feed her and what not to feed her. They overcame the hurdle of her quirk and starting school. They were on a roll... until one hurdle hit them out of nowhere...

When their little girl grows ill...

The boys were rather hopeless when it came to caring for a sick child.

Midoriya always imagined the worst case scenario whenever (Y/n) grew ill. It wasn't always a good thing either, he'd build a rather horrible scenario into his head and then burst into tears on the spot thinking his little girl was going to die. Sometimes, he even went a little overboard in giving her treatments to help her recover. He always psychoanalysed things way more than they needed to be and ended up freaking himself out.

On the other hand, Shoto was more knowledgable and got to it but there was something he couldn't do... He'd do all the usual check ups like you would. Checking her temperature. Making sure she drinks fluids. Keeping her occupied and making sure she doesn't exert herself. But when it came to feeding her, he wouldn't stop giving her cookies.

Not that (Y/n) is complaining.

So here they were, panicking over a new type of infection/illness/disease. Chicken pox. Shoto thought it was a quirk effect. Or maybe she became allergic to something. Midoriya instantly thought she was going to die as soon as the blisters began to pop out of nowhere. The greenette hopelessly fussing over the clearly uncomfortable and easily annoyed girl. The bi colour haired male simply set a plate of cookies in her lap for her to nibble on to make her feel better.

"Shoto! You can't keep feeding her cookies!" Inko berates, taking the plate away from her granddaughter to set it on the landing for Enji to collect to take downstairs (the flame hero practically lived at the Midoriya household now anyways), "Izuku! Stop fretting or you'll scare her!"

"R — right! Sorry, mom," Izuku squeaks out sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck with an embarrassed blush, looking toward his little girl who's pulling at her clothes, "I've never seen this before mom... what do we do?"

"Well for starters, you need to change her bedsheets, then you need to get her into a cool bath," Inko says, already on the ball and begins to strip the bed of its sheets, watching as Shoto gently picks her up and tilts his head in confusion as (Y/n) edges more to his right side than the left, "Heat will anger the blisters and make her feel worse, a cool bath will soothe the itching and the pain,"

"Right!" Izuku says, determined as ever, heading toward the bathroom to run a cool bath for his increasingly uncomfortable little girl, "What else can we do?"

"Give her some medicine, it should help the soreness," Inko explains, already having the sheets bundled into her arms, spraying disinfectant over the mattress and pillows, "I have ointment cream in the medicine cabinet you can put on her blisters to calm them a bit,"
