Birthday Boy : Shoto Todoroki

Shoto can't help but chuckle to himself as he follows his family through the parking lot of the local ice skating rink with a small smile. His little girl perched happily on his shoulders as he walks through, letting his daughter fiddle with his red and white locks while she babbles to Fuyumi about anything and everything. (Y/n)'s eyes shimmering with excitement as her little feet wiggle with anticipation. A bright grin on her lips as Shoto walks into the centre and Enji sorts out their booking.

With the winter air blowing through the houses of Japan, the cold was the favourite time of the year for most of the Todoroki family. A time where people can snuggle up under blankets by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa with squishy sweet marshmallows. A time where everyone can play in the snow and create snowball fights to conquer one another.

A time where it's Shoto Todoroki's birthday. A time where the Todoroki family can come together and celebrate the birthday of the golden child of the family (as Toya likes to put it). A time where Shoto can be lavished with gifts and tons of affection whether he wants it or not.

January 11.

To celebrate his birthday this year, Rei and Enji had decided to take their youngest to the ice rink like they once had when he was a small child. The parents wanting to show their granddaughter how to ice skate as well as let their children have fun and try to make them all feel somewhat like a family again after everything they've been through together. Something that the whole family could partake in and have a bit of fun.

And get competitive when it concerns Natsuo, Toya and Shoto on who can skate the quickest (Natsuo's the reigning champions thus far).

With how high status the Todoroki family is (and how much attention it attracts due to a certain someone), Enji had rented out the whole facility to prevent any unwanted attention. This was a family matter, a private affair. The public didn't need to know what Shoto was doing for his birthday, after all. It was a day for him to spend with family and be spoiled. Not play twenty questions on what his relationship is like and what his family is like at the moment.

Once everything was paid for and everyone had their ice skates, each of them made their way into the rink. Fuyumi helping little (Y/n) into her skates while Shoto and Natsuo instantly wrestle their way onto the ice to try and be the first one on there. Izuku watches with a soft smile as his husband skates across the ice like he owns it while Enji slowly edges onto it with Toya close behind (the son close to pushing his father onto the ice).

"Come on, little one," Enji calls out to his granddaughter who's nervously clinging to Izuku like her life depends on it, her eyes focusing on the ice like it's foreign, "It'll be okay, I promise,"

"Let's go join daddy," Izuku coos gently, running his fingers through her hair before slowly etching onto the ice and holding her hand as they slowly begin to make their way across the ice, "Mama's got you, don't worry; mama won't let you fall I promise,"

"You got it, Cinder," Shoto reassures her, kneeling down on the ice and opening his arms out to her as she hides her face in her mothers pant leg, "Come on, show daddy how much of a big girl you can be,"

"She doesn't know how to skate you morons," Toya says rolling his eyes and skating to his niece who squeaks and nervously hides herself deeper in her mothers safety, "Come on, (Y/n), let uncle Toya teach you since these idiots can't do anything right,"
