Baby Proof Mishaps

Shoto sat happily in the living room with (Y/n) snuggled into his side as she holds her Endeavor plush close to her chest, watching the tv. The pair opting toward numerous amounts of animated movies (Todoroki wanting you see all of them to see what he was missing out on as a kid). Currently they were watching Ratatouille, the little girl giggling as she watches the rat cook dinner while Shoto watches confused. Why would they let a rat cook a meal? Don't they have diseases? He though to himself as he sends his daughter a soft smile, this clearly doesn't promote proper kitchen hygiene.

On the opposite couch, relaxing after a hard day fighting crime, filling out paperwork and having to deal with Hawks' antics sat Enji Todoroki. Wearing rather casual clothing, a turtle neck and some jeans, finding the film rather interesting too due to not watching them  when his children were little. He thought there was more to life than watching animated characters prance about a screen... but now he was reconsidering. Watching his granddaughter react the way she does made his heart melt. Why didn't he do this with his children?...

However, their happiness was shortlived as a small, rather feminine, pained scream leaves Midoriya's lips. Falling to the floor, clutching his foot as he whines in pain, sitting against the wall by the stairs. Shoto shot up instantly; pausing the movie, before rushing to his boyfriends side, gently taking his foot in his hands as he examined it.

"What did you do?" Enji asks, walking over with (Y/n) in his arms, chuckling as the girl pulls at his hair, "Are you okay?"

"Izuku! I heard a scream!" Inko great rushing over, kneeling by her sons side as she looks over him as if he were still a baby, her eyes brimming with tears, "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital? Did you break a bone? What did you do?"

"Mom... mom, I'm okay, really," Izuku says, kissing his moms cheek softly, wincing as Shoto presses on his foot gently, "Just stubbed my toe on the stairgate, nothing major, nothings broken, I'm just in a lot of pain,"

"It's swollen! You broke your toe!" Inko frets, scrambling to her feet, " I'll go get some ice!"

"Mrs Midoriya, I have an ice quirk, it's okay," Shoto hums, rather calm as he gently runs his cold hand along his boyfriends feet, making sure that he didn't freeze nor give his boyfriend frostbite

"Deep breaths, Inko, the boys been through worse," Enji speaks up, still being tough as nails when it came to an injury like that; shake it off and get on with it... after all that's how he was raised, "It's a stubbed toe, he hasn't broken anything, he's fine,"

"You're right... you're right..." Inko hums taking a deep breath, thanking Enji as he hands (Y/n) to her, knowing that often calms her nerves

"Mama okay?" (Y/n) asks, watching as Izuku slowly crawls to his feet, the greenette shutting the stair gate rather violently, taking his frustrations out on the apparatus

"I'm okay, baby, mama just hurt himself," he say kissing her forehead softly, "Naughty stair gate,"

"Bad stair gate!" (Y/n) says pointing to it with a giggle, Inko fussing over her with a squeal while Shoto smiles softly

Izuku sends a sickly sweet smile toward the two Todoroki men (both were rather guilty of leaving the toilet seat up and leaving doors and stairgates open), closing his eyes gently. He tilts his head as he claps his hands together, showing them his pearly white teeth as he giggles in a bittersweet way. Both father and son glance at each other, rather disturbed.
