From The Point of View of Xavier James
I was awakened by the sunlight streaming into the master bedroom, as Ben held me in his arms. I yawned and I turned and looked at my king, who was sound asleep. I didn't wanna wake him, so I just decided to let him sleep in peace. I was truly blessed, I had a man that loved me as much as I loved him and to top it all off, he would give me the world if I asked for it. Ben literally treated me like royalty. After being alone and with my thoughts for thirty minutes, I decided to wake gently shake Ben awake. He opened his eyes slowly and he smiled at me. Ben grabbed me and he gave me a kiss on the forehead.
"Good Morning handsome." he smiled as he held me.
"Good Morning." I smiled.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"I'm blessed, I get to wake up next to you every single day." he beamed before he whipped his eyes.
"Oh, Ben!" I sighed with a smile.
"You ready?" he quizzed.
"Ready for what ?" I replied.
"We gotta head down south today, to Georgia. For Buddy's sake." Ben answered as he got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom.
"Oh, Lord..." I sighed as I followed him.
"What you calling on the Lord for ?" Ben laughed.
"We obviously need him, we are going to face some unknown person, who knows who it'll be..." I replied.
"That's true, but I think we'll be ok." Ben shrugged as he used the restroom.
I wanted assurance to know that the both of us would be ok, but that was nearly impossible to gain in such short notice. I prayed that we would be ok, that whoever this person is, would leave us both alone after this trip to Atlanta. I went over to Ben I grabbed him and I showed him, love, I hugged him and I smiled as him as we stared at each other in the mirror. I wanted to show him as much love as I could before the both of us went into the unknown. After we both showered and got dressed, we packed our overnight bags. This should be a quick trip, hopefully, we would be on our way back to Philadelphia tomorrow evening. Ben and I ate a silent breakfast, that usually wasn't the case, but I know for a fact we had a lot of things on our minds concerning this trip.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I smiled slightly as we sat at the dining room table. I played with my eggs with a fork as the sunlight streamed into the dining room.
"I just want you to be ok on this trip. In all actuality, I want to leave you here. I just want you to be safe Xavier." Ben insisted.
"But Ben, I don't want you going down there by yourself, secondly, the message said that both of us have to go... we have to go together..." I replied.
