Kylie looks up from her notebook and glares at her stock boy who is shaking his head so hard it looks like it's about to come off. "Excuse me..." she starts but is stoped by hands wrapping themselves around from behind her. This makes her jump away and the stock boy run off. Turning she sees the last person she thought she'd see today. Before her stood a tall drink of cocky darkness with a smirk and furry red eyes trained on her. "Lucifer... you know you can't just show up whenever you feel like it and you definitely can't touch me like that," she glares and turns to look back over everything, walking away. "Babe, you know your little rules like that don't apply to me... remember you're my bitch," he laughs, leaning against the stock room door, blocking her way out.
"I'm not you're bitch Luci..." she mumbles, "if anything you're mine, always whining about souls this... souls that."
"Excuse me... I don't whine," the lord of the underworld quickly recoils, standing up to his full 6'8", towering over her as she tries to slip by. Before she can walk past, he pushes her against the door and leans against her. "Now, you know I don't make above ground visit unless necessary and this meeting is not one I'm too fond of having but your sexy ass refuses to visit me and you keep ditching my demons so here I am," he smirks, letting her go. Kylie pushes him away and quickly moves into the front of the bar, looking around for anything to save her from this conversation.
"Like I said, what you want then? I've got a mafia meeting tonight to discuss some more ground rules before the big merge next month. Tonight is also my girls night off so I'm gonna be the only female around so I don't need you minimizing my role here," snappy at him slightly. Kylie really didn't need this and tonight of all nights. She had these gangs eating out of her hands but if one snitch saw her getting talked down to by this asshole of a 'boss', that'd be it and she'd have to take over things in a more aggressive manner.
Lucifer laughs and slides into a bar stool across from her, leaning forwards and tapping her nose. "Oh my sweet sassy siren, you've been making moves haven't we? But eh, I don't expect any less. But I guess down to business. I need to discuss your...," he says and leans back, swiveling around to look across the club right as Marcus walks in.
"My what.... Marcus, I'm alright," she quickly moves around to stand in front of Luci. The Hound in Marcus starting to show as he wanted to protect her and be loyal but it was hard when your creator, that you betrayed is right that.
"You sure?" He growls out, staring at Lucifer, the jerk just smirking and nodding at him. "Long time no see," the lord chuckles at him.
"Shut up" Kylie quickly snaps at him and waves Marcus away, "Go check on the girls, make sure they're all out before the gangs get here. I don't need anyone mixing together."
Marcus nods and slowly walks back out of the main area, Kylie letting the breath she was holding go. "So protective of one that will eventually betray you... speaks of your choice in men my love," a whisper making her shiver and she turns to look at the source of it. "He wouldn't betray me... I don't treat him like a pet and I definitely don't torture him when he doesn't get something 100% correct like someone has before," Kylie snaps back, glaring up at the lord of all demons who made her nervous but right now she didn't have time for his bullshit.
"Hmmm it's nice to see my project became so feisty and bossy," he smirked, her glares having no effect on his smart ass.
"Oh my goodness tell me why you're here so we can get it over with," she says, turning away to go back to double checking everything was ready before they opened.
"Well since you asked so nicely, I'll let you in on my inquiries," Lucifer joked, following behind her no less than a foot away, "juries out kiddo and you're contract is their discussion."
Kylie stops dead in her tracks, taking in a sharp breath before slowly letting it out and glancing back at him. "You mean... my freedom is trial?"
(If you the reader didn't know, Kylie basically sold her siren soul to the devil, Lucifer himself, so that her shitty kicked to the curb, drop out, no family life could be changed... but it came at the other price of her being one of his top soul collectors. Kylie ate souls of course and that's how she lives but most of her souls are collected and given to Lucifer every first Friday of the month like a bad date. They had a 5-15 year contract depending on her amount of souls collected in that time. Well since a certain demon and some assholes on earth had made her go crazy one than once or twice, she was far ahead of schedule on the soul collecting)
"So to say... buuut there's also the argument of keeping you on since you're just so good at your job," he laughs, sliding into a booth, stretching and putting his hands behind his head.
"Fuck that, I'm the best cause I want out. Yes, thanks for the nudge into the right directions of the club and thanks for providing when I ran away the first time, but Luci... aren't you tired of my sassy ass giving you jerky perverted souls once a month?" Kylie slightly whimpering, sliding in beside him.
"Beautiful, that's the best part of my month," he winks, leaning closer to her, "and if I remember, you used to enjoy giving me your souls." Leaning her head away, she blushes, remembering the first time they met and how that went off, his hot breath making her shiver to her core. "That was a long time ago... things change," she whispered, looking up at him, "I'm not the same naive young girl. I'm a woman now. A woman who's been with more than you, who has faced all the assholes, runs the business of a club and a few gangs, and has earned more respect for the people around her than she ever thought she'd have."
"Oh sweetheart, that's not all... you also fell for someone of my kind, so fucking around with me would kinda put a damper on that," he whispers and leans back, smirking softly at her.
Blushing now she looks away and rolls her eyes, "that's not the point... I just.. do you even want me around anymore? I'm sure there's some slutty nymph around here somewhere," Kylie jokes, diverting the conversation slightly. "Honey.. I'm not the jury... so whatever they decide is best, we'll agree to, you know how the sisters are," His words now letting her know the Fates were in control of her contract.
"You've gotta be fucking kidding me... they hate me ever since I slept with their great great great great great great nephew and then took his soul. How was I supposed to know the jerk was a mythological beings nephew?" She whines.
The demon laughs and pokes her nose, slowly starting to disappear, "you know you're crazy and I'll miss it... guess we'll see what happens my lucky siren." His body now fully gone, the sound of his voice echoing through the empty club. Shaking her head, Kylie takes a deep breath and smiles slightly, "guess we will..."
