"Let her go."
"My, my, Ushijima-kun." Oikawa said, slowly releasing his hold on you. "I'm just excited to see Sensei-chan. Isn't it normal to give her a great, big hug?"
"Ah! Of course you would do the 'proper' greeting right?" Oikawa got an even more sly look on his face. "Or is the great Ushiwaka afraid of huggi-"
"All right children, that's enough!" Tendou said as he pushed Oikawa out of the way. "Nishinoya, weren't you guys going somewhere?"
"Yeah, we're going for lunch! Wanna join?" The smallest of the bunch said energetically.
"Sure, go ahead and we'll catch up with you." Tendou replied and pushed Oikawa in their direction. "Please take this with you."
"Hey! I'm not a thing!" Oikawa protested as Nishinoya pulled him along.
"Come on Great King. We're going." And with that the guys left the hotel.
You looked after them with wide eyes. "What the heck just happened?" You asked no one in particular.
Tendou sighed and shook his head. "These two have never gotten along. Oikawa was never able to beat us and this one here can not understand Oikawa's... decisions."
"He sh-"
"Don't you start!" Tendou exclaimed exasperatedly at Wakatoshi.
You sensed a lot of history that you weren't privy to and decided not to press for further information. The three of you just stood there for a moment and you felt and awkward silence descend on you.
Thankfully Tendou broke the silence before you could say something embarrassing. "So anyone hungry? Those guys are going for lunch."
It was only when he mentioned it that you realized you were actually starving. You had only had a snack before the match and today had been an eventful day to say the least.
"I can eat, if you want to." You said, not comfortable in sharing your blunt opinion. Wakatoshi nodded and the three of you left the hotel and followed behind Oikawa and the others.
You were afraid the walk would bring about silence again, but luckily Tendou made sure that wouldn't happen.
"So, that was quite a surprise that you came to watch the game!" He said grinning.
"Well, it was also a surprise to me that Wakatoshi was in the game. And Oikawa..." You replied, glad that Tendou was taking the lead in this situation.
"That Oikawa didn't brag to you about being in the under 21's is a bit of a mystery, but Wakatoshi doesn't really do that kind of thing, do you Wakatoshi-kun?" Tendou looked at Wakatoshi expectantly, but the latter just cleared his throat and gave a simple "No." as an answer.
A short silence fell but it was broken soon when the people in front of you entered a small local restaurant.
"I hope this place has room for us all." Tendou remarked as you entered after the rest. The waiting staff was already shuffling some tables around to accommodate the entire group.
In the end they created two larger tables by pushing a few small tables together. Tendou made sure that the three of you were not at the same table as Oikawa and you leaned a bit closer to him to be able to quietly ask him: "Is it really that bad between those two?"
Tendou laughed and shook his head. "Nah, Wakatoshi is just a little on edge and I'm the one that has to deal with the fallout, so I like to take preventive measures."
