That evening, after you were done studying, you had a tutoring session with Wakatoshi. You were talking him through how to deal with being sick or needing other medical care in English when a loud buzzing noise sounded from his end.

"Someone's at the door." He said before getting up and walking away. You heard him talk in Japanese, presumably to his intercom, and then the sound of a door opening and closing.

In the mean time you noticed Tendou sitting up in his bed, woken up by the loud noise. He rubbed his eyes and looked around obviously drowsy. He was clearly a night owl, just like you and you wondered how these two friends could be so different.

Tendou got out of bed and made his way through the room to then disappear from your screen. You quickly averted your eyes as he was only wearing boxers and you were pretty sure he had no idea you could see him.

The sound of the door opening and closing again notified you that Wakatoshi had returned. You heard him call Tendou's name and then say something to him in Japanese. You watched as Wakatoshi sat back down and put a small box on his desk, next to his laptop.

To your surprise you recognized that box. It was your Valentine's gift, the person who rang the doorbell must have been a delivery man.

'I hope he doesn't open it in front of me.'  Was all you could think and you relaxed as Wakatoshi picked up his headphones and apologized for the delay. You were sure he would think it rude to open the package now and keep you waiting any longer.

You were about to pick up where you left off when a voice cut you off.

"Wakatoshi! Look what I got!" Tendou exclaimed in Japanese as he walked into view of the webcam, fully clothed this time. To your horror he was holding the little bag of sweets you got him in one hand, the card in his other.

Wakatoshi replied to him and they exchanged a few lines that you could not understand, but then Tendou gave a one word reply that you did understand : your name. You were pretty sure Wakatoshi had asked him who they were from and your name was obviously the reply.

Then you saw Tendou's eyes fall on Wakatoshi's laptop screen, in other words: on you, and a mischievous grin appeared on his face when he noticed the unopened box next to the computer.

You considered just logging off, but there was no way that would make the situation less awkward was there? So you decided to bite the bullet and stayed. At least now you were there to prevent any misunderstandings from happening.

The inevitable happened when Tendou pointed out the box to Wakatoshi, most likely telling him that it was also from you and to open it.

Wakatoshi read the label on the box and then turned his attention back to you. "Is it okay if I open this now?" He asked and all you could do was nod.

You felt anxiety and embarrassment creep up on you as you watched him open the box in front of you. Tendou was hovering over his shoulder, looking very amused about the whole situation.

Carefully he lifted the bag of sweets out of the cardboard box and proceeded to read the card. He looked at it for a little while, even though it just said 'Happy Valentine Wakatoshi' and it made you nervously think of something to say to break the silence.

Before you could utter something though, he put the card down and bowed his head to you.

"Thank you." He told you and you let an nervous laugh escape your lips.

"It's nothing really, I hope you like it." Before he could reply, Tendou let out a delighted noise in the background.

"These are good!" He called to you as he put another one of the sweets in his mouth. You couldn't help but chuckle and watched as Tendou came closer to you again. He pushed Wakatoshi out of view and told you, in somewhat broken English. "I don't mind waking up this early if you send me something yummy everyday!"

You laughed. "I would go broke if I did that! It costs a lot to send stuff to Japan you know, it's only on the other side of the planet!"

Tendou pouted. "I'll just have to keep sleeping in then."

Wakatoshi nudged Tendou out of the way again and the latter sighed. "Yes, yes, time to continue your boring English lessons. I'll be in my bed, watching anime quietly as not to disturb you guys."

You guessed you had about half an hour left before Wakatoshi would have to leave for classes, so you figured you'd have to leave part of the 'emergencies' chapter of your travel guide for another time.

After you finished up with the lesson it was past midnight and you quickly went to bed. It took you a while to fall asleep, you were still a bit wound up from before. In the end you had had nothing to be nervous about, Wakatoshi hadn't really reacted in a negative way, or a positive one for that matter. His reaction was neutral, just like you would expect from him.

It was what you had come to know about him, that he showed little emotion, good or bad. Yet it somehow made you feel a little sad. At the moment itself you had feared his reaction and the embarrassment it would bring you, but now it felt so anti-climactic. You felt silly that you had gotten so worked up about him opening your present and at the same time a little sad that you sending him a gift had not sparked more of a reaction in him. You couldn't even tell if he was happy at all that you sent him something.

At last you fell asleep after telling yourself that that was just who he was, it wouldn't be fair of you to hold him to higher expectations.

The rest of the month went by as it had been, the only change was that Tendou pestered you now and again to send him more of the sweets. He had apparently taking a great liking to them and he could not find them anywhere in Japan.

Then March rolled around and both Wakatoshi, Tendou and Oikawa got really busy with their exams. So much so that you barely had any tutoring sessions with Wakatoshi at all. You grabbed the opportunity to catch up on your sleep, going to bed at 11 pm at the latest.

One day in the middle of the month you returned home to find a slip of paper in the mailbox. The form told you that a mailman had been to your door with a package, but you weren't at home to accept it. You had to go to the nearest post-office to pick it up.

You grinned, happy that the item you had ordered online a few days ago had already arrived, and looked at the post-office's opening hours to see when you had time to pick it up the next day.

A/N :

This was a bit of a strange place to cut the chapter short, but I'm planning on releasing an extra chapter this Saturday!! o(*^▽^*)o

It might be a bit of a shorter chapter though, I'm not sure yet... It will also be a one-time thing for now. If we get a little further in the story I might permanently change the schedule to Wednesdays and Saturdays, but I'm not making any promises! (*・∀-)

As always, thank you for reading and, if all goes well, see you Saturday!  (≧∇≦)/
