THE SUN HAD COME out. Alec and I left the library after my Aunt's words of motivation.
"I'm totally grateful for everyone's help. Figuring this out is gonna be interesting". Alec said as we strolled down the steps of the palace. I suggested we talk a walk to clear out heads. We'd just been told that very story of how our parents were connected and it wasn't a pretty one.
I grabbed onto his arm and laid my head on it still walking, "We should bring Dominic's mom to tell us anything we might be missing. She could probably help you control your gifts".
He nodded in agreement, reaching forward we kissed and I closed my eyes. Not a second later they opened when I heard rustling leaves. I look to the left at the wall of leaves that had once been green to see it was now filled with growing, pink blossoming flowers. Alec's eyes widened and took in the scene.
I laugh at his expression, "I think I'm gonna make the call for Dom's mom to come visit".
He slumped his arms, "Yeah, that's a good idea".
"Okay", I said trying to sound professional and moving a few feet to keep distance, "Back to work Chief Pack warrior!"
He laughed and started walking to the training grounds.
Dom's mother agreed to come visit later today. I told her to prepare for the worst and to bring all of her old witch books and artifacts. We were going to need all the help we could get. I could hear her confused tone when I brought up the witch stuff, "Sweetie, they're not called witch boo- wait! Does this have to do with the boy Dom said was your ma-", I quickly said "Goodbye auntie see you later!" and hung up the phone. I did want to have to explain everything about Alec on the phone because I wouldn't even know where to begin. I stopped by the training grounds to let Arden know Dominic's mother would be visiting to help Alec. Before I walked back to the Palace and took a detour to the kitchen. Luckily Dom and My aunt were there and were making sandwiches.
My aunt handed me one and we all took a seat around the island. The silence was a bit awkward and I wasn't sure why. I took another bite from my sandwich when he brought up his mom.
"So why didn't you tell me my mom was coming over?" I almost choked on the piece of bread I was eating and set it down. "Don't you remember the last time my parents were in the same room together?" I did and I winced at the memory of it. It was Dom's 21 st birthday and I had surprised him with a big party. In which I invited his mother and Xavier and Kira spent the entire time arguing. It was uncomfortable to say the least.
"Don't worry I already told Xavier she was here to help Alec", and they were both gonna have to suck it up. I left my Aunt with a headache and Dom annoyed. I had to prepare his mother's sleeping arrangements or no one would.

I decided to keep this meeting rather small only having Alec, Kira and I meet in the private training grounds I had. The room was underneath the castle. The walls were made of bulletproof glass and steel walls. If Alec was going to practice, here was the best spot. I let Alec explain the whole ordeal and get comfortable talking to Kira. Once Alec mind linked me and told me he was done I walked over away from the weapons table I had been standing by.
"Can I just start off by apologizing, I only tried to help you and your parents. Once the witches had stripped me of my powers I was just an ordinary wolf. I'm so sorry, I wish I could have done more". Kira was probably one of the nicest people I knew, right after my Aunt Beatrice. Alec accepts and the tension in the room feels lighter.
Smiling bright Kira says, "Alright! So, I brought a few things from my home. I might not be able to practice magic, but I'm still a witch. Faye, sweetie grab some of my grimoires". I look around completely helpless and she sighs facepalming herself, "The witch books Faye". I laugh knowing only she'd know I wouldn't call any of this by its real name.
I notice Alec trying to keep his laugh in but composes himself to ask, "So how exactly are my powers similar to yours?"
Kira explains, "From what I've read and heard, it's pretty similar. Witches control their powers by using certain tactics and I think teaching those tactics can help you control your powers and let you use them whenever you want. From what Faye has told me, it's also tied to emotion, just as witch magic".
She walks to the table and grabs the jar of water to pour a cup of water.
Alec's head looks back and forth between me and Kira. I shrugged not knowing what she was planning either.
"Let's start with water. I want you to try to pull the water out and try to keep it above the ground". Alec scoffs and I understand why, it wasn't the easiest task to start with.
"And how do I even start? Most of the time I do anything like this I never notice it until someone points it out".
Kira nods understanding, "Okay, well let's take from the witches. One of the first basic and important lessons is focus. You just have to imagine what you want to happen and keep focus so that it keeps happening".
Alec nods and I clap in support, he can do this. Kira steps away from the table where the cup is and stands beside me.
Alec shuts his eyes and takes a deep breath. I can hear him mumbling, "Just focus and imagine it happening just-" and opens his eyes to see the cup shaking. Kira and I step forward to get a closer look. The cup continues shaking before it tips over and all the water comes falling out. Both Kira and him sigh. Kira pouts and walks over to him, "Maybe I was rustier than I thought. Hm, maybe I can get my niece to come in. Faye, you remember Nova right?"
I nod and agree to bring in extra help on the outside but on the inside I was preparing for Dominic to give me hell. He hated this girl and I knew all about it. At this point It seemed like all my problems were piling up at once.
