THE CASTLE WAS BUZZING with noise and excitement. I felt a certain energy in the air the second I woke up. I felt nervous and anxious seeing as I would be meeting many new people at the ball tonight. I could feel someone trying to get into my mind link. Opening the mental barrier, Dominic began to so speak,

"Alpha, most of the guests have begun to arrive and are being led to their living arrangements". Feeling some weight lift off my chest I thank Dominic and close the mind link. My room was usually my safe space and never really had guests but today I had no choice but to let everyone in at once. First came the hairstylist who immediately sat me down at my vanity and began to work on my hair. It was in its current natural state of being pin straight. A few minutes later my maid Clarissa walked in with breakfast. She kept it light with a bowl of oatmeal and a side of fruits. As I ate my oatmeal silently, my aunt Bea walked in.

She immediately began to gush over me, "My my look at you my cute little Reina!"

I felt a small blush creep onto my cheeks. Setting down my oatmeal on the table, I walked over to embrace her in a hug. I felt a little less nervous knowing my aunt would be getting ready with me. We talked for what seemed hours as we were getting our hair done. As the seamstress was on her way with my gown, my uncle Xavier walked in. I felt extremely close to him, seeing him as a father figure considering he was my father's younger brother. I sighed in relief knowing he would be the one to walk me down the stairs of the palace later tonight for my introduction.

Getting up out of the chair I hear the hairstylist huff and feel a little bad that I keep bouncing up from time to time while she tries to do my hair. Letting out a quick sorry, I ran over to him. He hugs me and says hello to the many people in my room.

As he lays on the sofa by the window, he waits until I sit down again to go over some details.

"and when we walk down the steps, you will greet every soldier in line to complete. In the past, this has helped the Alpha form a quicker connection with the participants".

Nodding in acknowledgment, I dismiss myself to head downstairs. I just wanted to take a peek at the incoming future members. I was only in a pink silk short-sleeved shirt and a matching pair of shorts. My hair was in pin curls and I was bare-faced. As I walked down the hall I acknowledged fellow pack members but continued to walk until I was around the corner of the entrance of the castle. Multiple families were entering, giving their last names and pack names to the security guards at the door. Luckily no one had noticed me yet. Most of the families had arrived and walked in a family of six. First in were an older couple hand in hand; obviously mates. Then came in two girls who appeared to be twins. I couldn't help but stare. They shared identical brown hair and full lips. Then strolled in a younger male with black gelled back hair and bit tanner than the girls. He seemed to be the life of the party with the way he was constantly making the twins giggle. Lastly, came in what I assumed to be the eldest. He immediately caught my attention. He was extremely tall, at about 6'2 and had raven-colored hair. It was styled messily, short and a bit wavy. What caught my attention the most was his eyes. His eyes were bright and green. They almost reminded me of the forest on the edge of town. Before I knew it someone had whispered in my ear, I yelped out in fear and the man's eyes snapped towards me.
