Chapter 30

Winters P.O.V
When I got home at 6:30, I changed into sweatpants and a baggy shirt. I make myself a bowl of popcorn and M&Ms(mixed together😏) and watch Mean Girls for like the millionth time.
I decide not to cry because it won't get me anywhere, so I just laugh at funny parts of the movie and pretend nothing is happening.
But so much is.

"Need help with that popcorn?" A sweet sing-song voice says from behind me.
"Be-Bethany?!" I shout when I see her. "What? How-? What?" I stumble for words, but end up embracing her into a hug.
"Meg told me what happened, so I came to see you!" Bethany exclaim wrapping her arms around me.
Now I really start to cry. No not cry. I am bawling, and Bethany sits next to me on the couch.
"Let's watch the movie," I half whisper. I need to stop this.
"Okay Winter."
Bethany's P.O.V
"Okay Winter," I say and turn the movie back on. Mean Girls, of course.
"I was trying to find a new boyfriend, you know to help me grieve, but Meg saw Nic," Winter explains after the movie.
"How about I take you for a bite, and we can talk!" I laugh. My stomach was grumbling. Winter nods and I help her pick out an outfit.
"Here put this yellow knit sweater in, it's a bit windy, ooh, and wear this navy blue skirt!" I say. I love helping Winter pick out an outfit.
"Thank you so much Beth!" Winter says, hugging me.
Winters P.O.V
I order my burrito at the Taco Bell counter, and sit next to Bethany.
"Tell me more about what happened," she protests.
"Well the only thing else was that they kissed." I take a bite of my burrito. "I thought that Megan would know him when she saw him!"
"Winter you know what? You don't need love if you have a family," Bethany says.
