Chapter 26: Letter

You got the letter from the teacher, and looked at it. And on the letter has that... Danganronpa stamp again... what's up with these guys? What do they want from us? From me? You asked yourself and put the letter into your pocket, planning to read it with the others later.

After class, you told Maki, Himiko and Shuichi to stay inside the classroom, and took out the letter. "Team Danganronpa...?" Maki asked as I nod. "What could they want from us? I thought we were done..." You pouted as you look at the letter. "Then just don't read it... that's what I'd do." Maki then snatched the paper from me, and prepare to tear the letter off.

"Stop Maki!" Shuichi said as he held Maki's hand tightly. Yes, sometimes he'd grip someone's arm too, maybe. But then time Shuichi's grip is really tight, making Maki flinched and drop the letter on the table.

"A-Ah... sorry... I mean, I think we should at least read what they want to say..." Shuichi suggested as you nods. The detective slowly removes his arm from Maki, and you just picked up the letter to read.

Dear the survivors of Danganronpa 53

We know that this is pretty inconvenient, but we've heard that the school you're currently learning in has some... deaths going on... we were just wanted to tell you that we don't have anything to do with it, so whatever that happens, please don't blame this all on us.

This could be the last time that you'll ever get a letter from us again, but we just wanted to say that stay safe inside your deadly school environment.

"So... do I need to kill them or kill them?" Maki asked as you sigh. "I guess this is just like... some warning about our life right now?" You tried your best to just reason to the assassin, but obviously she wouldn't listen.

"Nyeh... If they leave us alone from now then I guess it'd be fine..." Himiko said tiredly as you nods. "Yeah..." Shuichi said, and you just decided to put the letter back into your pocket. After that, all four of you walked outside of the classroom, and on your way back to your dorm, you bumped into Maruchi again.

"Ah, hi Maruchi, feeling all better?" You asked as Maruchi nods. "Yeah... also, you can call me Maru if you want." Maruchi smiled as you nods. "Alrighty then Maru!" You said. But then you felt a slight tug on your sleeve. Turning around, it was Shuichi.

"W-Well... we should head back to our dorm, right?" Shuichi asked as you nods. "Of course! Well, see you around, Maru!" You cheered and waves at the boy.

When you enters the dorm, you could feel a but of dark auras going on with Shuichi, but you decided to just to ignore it... after all, there are deaths going on... so you don't really know what's happening to Shuichi...

"Hey (Y/N)...? Can you just skip your shift today?" Shuichi asked as you flinched. "Shuichi! What kind of joke is that? You know I can't skip!" You crossed your arms, and the boy just lowers his hat.

"Shuichi... just take off you hat please... it's not good to just wears it all the time!" You said, and Shuichi seems to didn't care whatever you say anymore.

"Ah... you should probably take off that hat, Shuichi. I mean, I'm not your mom, but it's unhealthy to wear hats all of the time."

Shuichi suddenly remembers of what Lamika used to say to him, and it makes him think of some bad thoughts. Did Lamika and (Y/N) have any sorts of relationships already? Why is she using Lamika's line? Why? Why? Why? No... she couldn't be that close to Lamika... maybe this is just a... line that has been repeated a lot...

"Um... Shuichi? You're all alright?" You asked as Shuichi looked up at you. "Ah... its fine... maybe you're right... I should take off this hat..." Shuichi said and took off his hat, revealing his fluffy hair again. If that's what (Y/N) told me to do... then I'll do it...

Shuichi gripped tightly into his hat, and then put in on the table. "Oh... haha... I didn't think you'd agree, but alright then! Keep it this way alright?" You smiled as Shuichi nods. "O-Of course (Y/N)..." Shuichi mumbled, then he sat on his bed.

After changing, you and Shuichi headed out again, and saw Rantaro just right at your door. "Oh, hi (Y/N)! I was thinking about us going together!" Rantaro gave you a smile as you nods. "Oh well, then, let's go!" You cheered and just continues to walk with both of the boys.

It was some sort of awkward silent, but you think it was alright, cause no one needs to say anything anyway. Finally you three reached the coffee shop, and everything went on like normal.

But... except Damian kept... 'bothering' you. At least that's what Shuichi see. "Hey Rantaro... does he come here often?" Shuichi asked the avocado as he points to the singer. "Oh, Damian? Well, he usually come here with Macky and Mizumi. And these days I think he just came here to talk to (Y/N), then." Rantaro smiled and look at you again.

"They seems to have a great talk, so I wouldn't get bothered by it." The boy continues. "Oh... I see..." Shuichi glared at you both one last time, and continued on with his coffee. It's alright Shuichi... you could at least get rid of him on Wednesday... yeah... that'd work...

Shuichi took a sip again, and gently placed the coffee on the table.

"Yeah, sure Damian, I'll be there on time!" You smiled as the boy nods. "Well, you haven't learn much around here, right? I could show you around!" Damian offered as you nods. "Well, that sounds perfect! Well... yeah, I'd like to know more... maybe I can bring my friends to go around too!" You said with determination in your eyes. "Oh, you mean that detective boy?" Damian asked as he points to Shuichi.

"Well, not only him, I still have Maki and Himiko...! Maybe... I could go with Maruchi too..." You said and played around with your fingers. Damian just smiles in response. "Yeah, I'm sure that your friends would like that!"

You nodded and continue with your work.
