Did they think she was transparent? Blind? Deaf? How could she miss that kind of bickering? The type that only lovers or ex-lovers would have.

She walked away, fuming underneath, her fists clenched and her chest tight.

I didn't come here for this.
But Didi said they were just friends.
Of course, he would say that.
Don't you believe him?

She stopped in her tracks. Her body turned to the back and saw Didi still talking to Chao Yue, his hands crossing over his chest, his face scowling.

Yue Yue, have faith.

But it was something else that bothered her, which she could not figure out what it was.

She sighed and looked at the ocean before her. All at once, the breeze calmed her feelings and made it light. She smiled. This is what matters.

She quickly entered the tent and changed into her swimsuit. It was probably a little chilly but Yue was ready for some splashing good time irregardless of Didi.

She stood in front of the tent for a while, watching the waves, before running out to the shore, removing her shorts and dipping herself in the water. She squealed. "This is fun!"

Jia Qi was nearby so she shouted to her to join in. She could see Didi from where she was. He was just standing there, looking solemn, staring ahead (at her?), his hands in his pockets.

Yue pursed her lips. No matter what, she could never stay angry when he looked like that.

"This is what you do to me, Didi." she said, softly to herself, before lowering her body into the water again.

When she came back to the beach, Didi was waiting for her, smiling, with a towel and shirt in his hand

When she came back to the beach, Didi was waiting for her, smiling, with a towel and shirt in his hand. "Hey, you looked like you had a good swim," handing her the towel.

His eyes dragged from her face down to her slim waist and toned legs and he gulped. He realized he was overdressed next to her.

She accepted the towel with a smile, and dried her body before putting on the shirt and her shorts. "It was great! You should try it! Why are you not changed?"
