Kamogawa calls
Autumn cool breeze gently blows
Rustling leaves fall down.

Hearts beating, longing
Seasons waiting to pass by
The sun and moon meets.

Standing here I see
Your eyes are fire, burning
Deep into my soul.

No place I would be
Here in your arms, I belong
Never let me go.

Dear readers,

I'm taking a short break from this fiction to rest my heart. While waiting, here is a longing haiku I wrote for Didi and Yue's reunion. Also, I pray they will meet each other soon in real life. His filming ends in 120 days and I imagine a sweet, sweet reunion in Beijing.

This is my first time writing a haiku. Try it yourself!

"A haiku is traditionally a Japanese poem consisting of three short lines and seventeen syllables that do not rhyme. There are five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. The origins of haiku poems can be traced back as far as the 9th century.

A haiku is considered to be more than a type of poem; it is a way of looking at the physical world and seeing something deeper, like the very nature of existence. It should leave the reader with a strong feeling or impression."
