He was tired of running away and decided to face his foes. They had been taking his money for months and he finally had enough. His patience had worn off.

Facing the bigger size boys, he found his knees shaking. He wished he could grow taller faster!

"Give us the money, Xiao Wang. You have no place to go."

"No, I won't! Okaasan said to stand up to bullies."

They snickered and laughed. "Oh, so you are a Japanese boy. How embarrassing for you. Not even a pure Chinese like us."

"You Japanese dogs are the worse." The bigger boy chided.

"Who are you calling us, dogs?" He braved himself. "I'm a Chinese, just like you."

"Stop bullshitting and give us the money. You don't want us to scar your handsome face, do you?"

They laughed. "Already he is so skinny and tiny. I think he is malnourished."

His ears burnt. He hated to be scrawny but no matter how much he ate, he could not gain weight.

"I m not going to be scared of you!" He said, bravely, despite his heart trembling.

"You asked for it kid!!" The biggest boy gave him a punch in the stomach that almost sent him flying, if the other boy did not hold him.

"Japanese dog!"

Another punch went to his face and he yelped. The pain was excruciating. They continued to pelt him with punches and pinches.

He should have given them his money. But, no, he had to stop the bullying. With an enormous strength and courage, he screamed, catching the boys in surprise.

He grabbed the arm that was locking around his neck and sank his teeth in it.

"OUCH!! You moron!"

He felt himself being flung down. His entire body was in pain.

Just as the boys were about to lunge towards him again, someone shouted "OOOII IDIOTS!! Find someone your own size!!"

It happened as quick as lighting. Something splashed.

He felt sprinkle of water on his face, and when he turned to the boys, they were all drenched.

"COME ON! RUN!"

Someone was pulling his arm. Before he had time to resonate what just happened, his legs were running.

They ran a block down. He was panting, his heart felt like bursting. He tapped the arm to signal to halt.

"I think we lost them. Just in case, we stay here for a while," the stranger said.
