Yue chuckled as she heard loud screams from inside the room. Lao Ma must be pressing the right parts of his vein system. It would only hurt if there were dysfunctions in the body. But the treatment was so effective that after that, one would immediately feel relieved.
She yawned. Last night was one of those nights she had difficulty having a shut-eye. She felt her cheeks flaring up as she recalled their first kiss in the living room. She touched her lips.
After placing some clothes and the antiseptic cream in his room, she ran to her own room and flopped on the bed, trying to steady her breath.
Her heartbeat must have raced over 200, with shivers still scampering all over in her gut and the soles of her feet. She curled up her feet and drew the comforter over her head.
They kissed! It was not like the one she had dreamed of. Not as frenzied or carnal. Theirs was ethereal, and yet, intense, with fireworks exploding in her head. Yue could not deny the fact that they had chemistry.
She buried her face on her bed and screamed out the three words. That reality hit her. She had been suppressing it down, down, down where she wished she would hide it for a little longer.
She pushed the cover back and looked up to the ceiling. What should I do, Yue? Pretend that it never happened? She shook her head. She was anything but a fake.
Owned it and give them a chance? She could take it slow, unlike her past relationship. She could control how she respond to Didi. She could lay out boundaries and conditions. She smiled to herself for her brilliant plan. The least she could do was not to run away from her feelings.
She put her hands on her face again and sighed. 'Those lips...Yue Yue!' She scolded herself.
Feeling something amiss, she recalled she had not given him the extra blanket. She got up, took it from her cupboard and walked over to his room.
When there was no answer after her third knock, she turned the door knob. Didi was fast asleep on the bed. It was a beautiful sight.
She trotted softly across the wooden flooring and placed the blanket over him. Bending down, she saw that he still looked pale. He had put a small plaster over his lip, those lips that she shared with for several heavenly seconds.
Her hand extended and rested on his forehead. No fever. She decided to stay for a few minutes to watch him, just to be sure he was okay.
Her eyes dragged from his forehead to his lips again. She wet hers. He wouldn't know. She went down on her knees and stooped her body low till her lips were just above his.
'Why am I taking advantage of a sleeping man?'
'Follow your heart, Yue!'
'He might wake up.'
'Shut up and just do it!'
