They hadn't shown up at school that day either. As a result, Chase and Zero's friends decided to call it a day as well and nearly gave Chase the shock of his life when he spotted them standing on his porch and half past nine in the morning. 

They explained to him that they had decided to crash over at his place since school just wasn't the same without him and Zero there - and for some reason, it warmed Chase's heart. 

"Where is Zero, by the way?" Jason questioned. "I think I owe him an apology."

Chase let out a sigh and watched as the boys messed cooed at how cute Kitty was, "He's in my room. He hasn't said a word to me since it happened. He won't even eat anything I give him."

"It's all my fault," Jason said, letting out an exasperated sigh. 

Chase didn't respond. He simply took a plate and began making his way over to his bedroom. 

"I thought you said he won't eat anything you give him," Oliver pointed out. 

"Doesn't hurt to try," was Chase's response. 

Once he had left the living room, he entered his bedroom with a knock to inform Zero of his presence. Surprisingly, Zero was already awake - he had already taken a shower and gotten dressed as well. 

When his eyes met Chase's, he gave the male an apologetic smile. 

Chase was taken aback. 

"Listen, I'm really sorry," Zero began. "You did nothing wrong but I still ignored you and didn't eat any of the food you made for me- I.. I feel horrible." he hung his head in shame. 

Chase approached Zero and ruffled his hair up with his free hand - an action which made Zero glance up at Chase in shock. 

"You're not mad at me?"

"Why would I be?" Chase grinned, handing Zero the plate. "I understand why you felt the way you did. Jason is actually waiting for you in the living room, he wants to apologize."

"That's.. really nice of him," Zero sighed. "I don't deserve you guys."

'We don't deserve you', Chase thought.
