Hello peeps and welcome to chapter 4!

So........thanks to you guys, this story has hit #10 ranking in Zelink! How crazy is that?? This story has been dormant for 6 months and I literally posted one new chapter a couple days ago and it already has that ranking?? Thank you so much everyone!

Anyways, who knows if anybody even reads my author's notes anyways. If you are reading, I would like to say that I am looking for an artist. Because I've created my own characters in this story, I wanted to have some illustrations to let everyone know what they sort of looked like. If anyone likes to draw and would like to help me out, please shoot me a PM!

Anyway, I don't own the rights to The Legend of Zelda. Those rights belong to Nintendo. I own the rights of the plot, so please don't post my work anywhere else.

With that out of the way I would like to say please enjoy!

"Princess? Must I repeat? You are going to be late," Saria urged.

"I know I know! I really am dreading this stupid party...why did my father have to invite me?" Zelda complained.

"You're his daughter, it's only natural."

"Thanks Malon, I guess you are my only sense right now. I really do wish you could come with me."

"A lady-in-waiting at the party of the highest?" Malon laughed. "I would be spit upon! You are the one who should be there!"

Zelda decided to shut her mouth and cooperate. She let Malon and Saria help her dress into her favorite, light blue dress, with white flower prints scattered about it. Reluctantly she walked into the ballroom. She was entering quite later than a princess should.

As she entered, she saw her father extend his hand from the stand. "My daughter, the princess of Hyrule!" Immediately after she received a thunderous applause and many bowed before her.

As Zelda greeted her cousin Cobalt, she couldn't help but spot another person who was wearing blue. Nearly everyone was wearing green, Hyrule's natural color, but there was a boy with blonde hair who undoubtedly was wearing blue.

Who is he?

He was talking with the newly appointed Lieutenant Billard. It was surprising to see anyone her age at these kind of parties unless they were of royal blood.

"You look a little distracted Zelda," Cobalt pointed out. "Are you doing all right?"

"Yeah...just...Cobalt. I need to go talk to someone."

She knew this would surprise Cobalt, because she knew that he knew that she didn't like talking to people so formally. But Cobalt hid his surprise. "I'll be leaving the party early it seems. I hope you enjoy yourself Zelda."

"Thank you Cobalt."

As Cobalt and Zelda parted, the boy and Lieutenant Bullard exited to the balcony. Zelda attempted to follow them but Prince Mido stepped in front of her.

"Would you like to dance Princess Zelda?" Prince Mido asked politely as he extended his hand.

Zelda knee her father was watching, and she had no option but to accept. "I suppose," she said as she tried to hide her grumbling tone. As they started to dance they twirled away from the boy in blue.

"I do love your blue dress," Prince Mido said with a smile.

"Thank you, it's new," Zelda said stiffly. How cold would she have to act towards these suitors for them to get the point?
