Hey peeps!

Welcome to chapter 5. I'm so tired of quarantine that I'm going to have the shortest author's note ever.

Me no own Zelda. Zelda owned by Nintendo. Plot mine. Don't copy please.

I like votes, comments and critiques if you can spare them:)

Word count is 1792 words.

Also, for the record, I think that Cobalt Loticus is my favorite invented character that I have ever made. Just wanted to let you know.

Please enjoy!

Zelda was spending the night after the ball with her ladies-in-waiting in her room. Though it was late and they had other duties to attend to, Zelda was making them stay with her so she could tell them what had happened at the party.

"You're talking too fast," Malon said shaking her head and looking at the grandfather clock on the wall. "We really need to be going anyways."

"Okay," Zelda took a deep breath. "There was a young boy at the ball. He was a knight. I wanted to go talk to him because he was the only one there that was my age besides Cobalt. But Cobalt left early. Eventually the boy left before I could talk to him."

"Why did you take so long?" Saria asked.

"It was not my intention. Prince Mido stopped me and asked me to dance. I couldn't really refuse because my father was in the same room."

"Oh prince Mido," Saria said dreamily. "I've always fancied him. Not like I'm lucky enough to be in your shoes though. Tell me, what did you two talk about?"

Zelda rolled her eyes. "The same thing as ever. He wants to stabilize the relationship between Hylians and Kokori. He also mentioned that his father was wondering when the courting process would begin."

"Oh how bold," Saria said with her eyes wide.

"It's not like our relations with the Kokori are bad," Malon pointed out. "We're on relatively good terms with them."

"Maybe we just dont understand politics," Zelda groaned. "Prince Mido's father is very worried about his son's situation with me. Why would he be so worried if we are already on good terms?"

"Well, there are multiple purposes of marrying our bloodline with neighboring countries," Saria pointed out. "Give the Kokori a break. They've always been jumping at shadows that threatens their own stability."

"Aren't your ancestors Kokori?" Malon asked Saria, changing the subject.

"Yes actually."

"Guy, back to the story," Zelda said straightly. "So, after I danced with Prince Mido, the boy disappeared for a while because he left to talk with his friend Lieutenant Billard out on the balcony. Then they returned, they talked to the captain of the guard, they he and the captain walked out to the balcony. They returned, and before I could talk to him, the boy left."

"That sounds really suspicious," Malon said thoughtfully.

"He's a knight. Him talking with the captain of the guard shouldn't be suspicious," Zelda said.

"Well sure. But he did it in private. That bothers me." Malon countered.

"It worries me too," Saria agreed. "This boy seems like trouble."
