Hello peeps! Welcome to a new chapter!
Sorry it took longer for this one to be published. Motivation sometimes is hard to find.
Not much to say besides the usual. Nintendo characters belong to Nintendo and my characters belong to me.
The word count for this chapter excluding the author's note is 2005 words. Please enjoy!

After morning practice, Link stuck around the training grounds to talk to Will and Joseph.
Will nudged Link in the gut, "so...we heard you and the princess went on a date."
Link defended himself from Will's poking and narrowed his eyes, "where did you hear that?"
"The source is classified," Joseph said with a grin.
"I would not have called it a date," Link specified. "We just sat and talked." He hesitated as he shot them another suspicious look, "this shouldn't be something you two should be announcing around the barracks."
"Yeah of course not," Joseph shrugged. "Only Will, Jacob and I know."
"Ah," Link said with realization, "Jacob was the one who told you, wasn't he?"
Will and Joseph glanced at eachother. "We can't confirm your suspicions," Will finally said.
"You don't need to, you've already given me verification with your reactions," Link rolled his eyes. "Why is Jacob spying on me?"
"It was an accident," Joseph promised. "He was patrolling around with Captiain Rolandus casually, and he happened to see you."
"Great," Link groaned. "All I need is for Captain Rolandus to start assuming things."
"Calm down Link," Will assured. "This was authorized...right?"
Link hesitated. "Yes. She told me it was because she's curious about what life is all about outside the castle." He looked at his two friends, "she wanted to talk to someone her own age."
"Sounds like an excuse to me," Joseph snorted. "I honestly think she's just interested in you."
"Stop with the fantasies," Link said seriously. "A princess can't feel such a way."
"But she already feels that way," Will suggested. "We know she's interested in you because she arranged this whole thing. Whether or not she's romantically interested, however, is another point for now."
"Yeah that's not happening," Link said, sure of himself. Though when he said it, he couldn't help but feel guilty at the sound of his own words.
"Don't scratch it off the list of possibilities quite yet," Will insisted as he gave Link's back a pat. "It would be good for you to get married young."
"Very funny," Link mocked with a small laugh. Though, as he thought about it, he noticed his heart rate had sped up.
It wouldn't be so bad...
Link recognized his outlandish thinking again and shook his head. "I can't be thinking about such foolish things right now you two."
Joseph folded his arms and smiled, "don't tell us you wouldn't want to."
"Of course I would want to," Link said firmly as he started to feel his face get hot. "But that doesn't mean it's meant to be."
Will and Joseph glanced at each other and smirked.
Link rolled his eyes, "hey, you two didn't hear anything, right?"
"It was clear as day to me," Joseph mocked. "And you Will?"
