Someone suddenly plopped down on the empty space beside me as I was reading the lecture book I borrowed from our library. As much as I want to stay at home finding my own serenity, I can't. May pasok ako.

I'm having my two hours vacant alone—or so I thought—until this guy sat beside me propping his elbows against the armrest showing his biceps.

Ugh I hate this guy.

"Missy was it too early for advance reading?"

I fixed my eyeglass using my index finger, totally ignoring him. Siya lang ang nag-iisang kayang maglakas-loob na pestehin ako which I don't get why and not in the mood to care. I'm not sociable, I'm no one compared to him, sikat 'yan dito, magaling kasi.

"Fine," he finally said.

I could see him slightly pouting and crossing his arms, nanahimik siya sandali, but I know for sure he will start talking again after a moment, everyone here knew that he have a lot on his mouth.

Multitasking is one of my talent, I got that from my mother, so everytime this guy come over and sit beside me his voice slides pass from my left ear to right, he talks about chess and his chess group alot and nothing more. I could get a tip or two about chess from him, the way he explains it I could tell he do great in that sport, pero ngayong araw, iba, new topic slips from his mouth. I glanced at him as I heard those.

It's basically the first time I waste a single glance at him since the first attempt of him talking to me. I just knew it was the same person over and over who sits here with me because of his scent that smells...woods? It's undefiable so nevermind.

I noticed his cheeks burning.

"I...I...Hi."

"Tell me about that, is that true," I more of demanded than asking, alam kong may pagka-rude but I became agitated on what I've heard from him.

"Now, now I got your attention." His smirk gives of creepy vibe on me, what the fuck, if he does that often to anyone I'm sure he creep out his colleagues big time. Poor chess group.

"Repeat it." I pressed a cold tone there, deep inside nagulat din ako, I can't believe I lost my composure. Anyways, it made him scratch the back of his head then nodded fast.

"Uh yeah a trending tweet running around DTC about the Del Pierro's." I nodded and took out my phone. I have twitter account—unopened one. I may have tweeted once but that's just a simple greet.

I waited impatiently as my feed reloaded for the latest tweets, pumunta kaagad ako sa trends. It turns out to be a humor about Del Pierro's having an adoptive Son/Daughter (unknown)—they added another one as part of their family, lahat ay nagulat dahil kakabalik lang nila galing ibang bansa and they came back with a big surprise.

They're all waiting for a press conference to confirm these humors, Del Pierro's are the wealthiest family in North anyways. Interesting news.

"Hmmm interesting but I chose to respect their privacy, hindi na dapat pinapakialaman ang mga gan'yang bagay," he said, popping my own bubbles and leaning to have a better look on my phone, he forgot the word personal space.

May point naman siya doon, 'wag lang sana siya lumapit.

"Kapag na meet ko talaga 'yung anak nilang babae shit sobrang saya ko," he said dreamingly. My expression change like a thunderbolt, giving him a scruntinizing side glance.

I scoffed, "The only daughter of Del Pierro's is untouchable so dream on." Napag-isipan kong pumasok na sa susunod kong klase, tapos na rin ang vacant ko.
