Fiona decided to leave earlier this morning. Umalis din ako ng maaga. I have this emergency meeting, our agendas today is about our expansion plans that I would like to take part with. I want to make my papa proud so I had to personally discuss it para walang maging misunderstandings.
I introduced myself as plainly a substitute, they didn't pay attention that much but pure concern plastered on their faces, except for this one guy who knows me.
Medyo malaki kasi ang project, I think they don't trust me on this. Ikaw ba naman mukang napadayo lang dito.
I disregarded their impression on me, and just did my duty here.
I felt proud, shockingly, I picked the right people to take part in this, luckily, these people managed to participate and give insights, we're too outnumbered to make it possible but apparently we did. As the meeting went on, our brainstorming made us push our knowledge to its extents and we come up with—I personally think the best output, we were able to address strategic goals, opportunities and the obstacles we are about to face, may it be bureau and political we don't actually thought much of it. We almost changed everything today. We planned to market new products that we could actually produce—a mobile device, we thought of innovations, gave our best to be creative, we came up with some. I smirked. We're putting some new useful aspects and as we talk about it, I knew it will be a hit. We have this genius techie on our team—he's the one who suggest it. His name is Killo. Cutie guy in his twenties too.
Management tools are no problem.
"Wow look at this," Ria, the team's CPA pointed at the list of materials we needed to build up this new building.
I nodded in delight.
Ang mga nakuha naming mga materials ay ang pinaka mura but the best quality. At first I thought it was a scam but we background checked every supplier we have in contact and they're all registered.
"We could hire a good architect, perhaps who pursue modernization, I want it to be modern, besides, our materials here suits," Richard, a former engineer suggested—he's one of my father's senior managers, been with Dada for 8 years now.
"Right, let's not mind paying much, it's therapeutic for our wellbeing to see nice structures in a workplace," Ria.
"Good idea, I'm excited to work our new invention there," Killo said, his hands under his chin, thingking throughly about his new workplace like a kid—ugh he's childish but full of surprises.
"We actually have funds, lots of unit trust, what do you think Miss?" Ria asked. What a great CFO I have.
I bit my lip and thought of loop holes on our plans for a moment. I skimmed my laptop, tahimik kaming lahat habang pare-parehong nag-iisip, 'yung iba actually kanina pa tahimik, these three have courage to talk.
"We're working on devices that consumes a lot of electricity in the making, the structure, we want it to be modernized and modernized building requires a lot of—"
"Lightings," they finished it for me. I nodded.
"Right. And we haven't talked about sustainability yet, I was thinking of importing solar power system, Jerard anything you could suggest? You're good at this." Jerard—Fiona's cousin, introvert unlike her outgoing cousin and just hate people's attention, but have this one hell of a brain. He practically set aside our original plan on his mind and just throw ideas he think is relevant, I like his wit a lot. Oh siya 'yung sinasabi kong may kakilala sa'kin dito.
Everyone eyed me and him, Jerard rolled his eyes. I knew he was coming because I picked him to be part of this, I chose what's for the best.
While holding my chuckle to the pits of my stomach I cleared my throat. We might have some issues back in highschool.
