Chapter 17 Unexpected help

"What... what happened?" Sarawat asked as he woke up in the hospital of the ship, a doctor was talking to a nurse but as he noticed that Sarawat was awake he stopped and came closer to him

"Goodmorning sir, you fainted in the dining hall and the waiters took you here, did you eat or drink something ... ummm... strange?" the doctor asked

"Where is Tine?"

"Tine?" the doctor asked confused, the nurse came closer to the doctor and whispered something so the doctor immediately exclaimed

"Oh yes! The guest who was coughing in the restaurant, yes... he's alright, we discharged him a few minutes ago actually" 

"Discharged?... may I go too?" Sarawat asked trying to stand up from the little bed

"Yes, you can go back to your cabin sir, but if you feel dizzy or just that you aren't alright don't hesitate and come here immediately" the doctor replied. 

Sarawat slowly stood up and went back to his cabin, before reaching his room he heard the sound of a guitar, just a chord... the c chord, the one he taught... he knocked and the maid opened, he went to the private promenade deck and looked at Tine playing, when Tine finally noticed that Sarawat was staring at him he stopped and smiled

"What are you looking at? I didn't know I could play this... Well I'm sorry Sarawat but the concert is over" Sarawat just smiled ignoring what TIne said, Tine stood up and left the guitar on the chair, he too his jacket, he looked at the sea and after a deep breath, feeling the salty air and the enjoying the noise of the waves htting the ship Tine said

"I'm going to visit Meyer, bye Sarawat" Sarawat didn't even mind at first, but then he remembered...

"Tine wait, where are you going?" Sarawat asked confused

"I'm going to visit Meyer, why did you ask?" Tine asked like he knew nothing

"Tine... Meyer... killed himself... don't you remember?" 

"He... he what?" Tine asked shocked

"He committed suicide... and Fischer is dead as well..." Sarawat answered. Tine rubbed his temples, his eyes widened in horror, then he looked back at Sarawat

"I'm sorry Sarawat... I... I just don't remember what happened... in the last few days... well... I think that I will need a very long walk to deal with it..." Tine replied, Sarawat thought that there was something strange in his words, did he really lost his memory? Or was that just... he couldn't tell what was going on

"Would you leave for a moment?" Sarawat asked and the maids left the cabin

"IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT? SERIOUSLY?! WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!" Sarawat shouted while throwing the pillows all over the room

"Wait... where is it? Where the hell is it!? Oh good... I'm getting crazy too... fuck it... I can't even find that stupid ring... how should I confess to him now?" Sarawat asked himself while he was looking for the ring he wanted to give him

He couldn't know that Tine could hear him, he was just outside, when the maids noticed him he just told them to ignore that he was still there

"COME BACK! NOW!" Tine was about to enter as he heard that desperate cry of the one he truly loved, he rubbed the ring he stole from his desk when Sarawat was still by the doctor and sobbed

Tine decided to leave since he knew he couldn't handle that anymore and went away. 

Sarawat reached the small table with the bottles of alcohol and started drinking stopping only a few times to breathe, after a few minutes he was laying on the floor unconscious. 

Tine reached Meyer's cabin and noticed that the door was opened, he looked inside and noticed that Fukuda was inside

"Fukuda san?" Tine said, Fukuda looked at him and ran to hug him

"How are you now?" Fukuda asked worried

"I'm alright... thank you..." Fukuda sighed in relief

"But why are you here Fukuda san?" Tine asked confused

"Well... I wanted to check if there were some important documents... I don't want the enemy to get informations that might change the whole situation, right?" Fukuda asked and Tine nodded and entered

Tine looked around trying to focus on something that wasn't related to Sarawat, suddenly he noticed that there were something red under Meyer's pillow, it was a red silk handkerchief, Tine took it and he found a letter inside of it

"To Karl Meyer..." Tine read on the top of it

"Did you find anything?" Fukuda asked

"Nothing..." Tine replied and went away. 

He came back to his cabin and noticed that the maids were still outside... but Sarawat wasn't screaming anymore

"Wait... why isn't he screaming?" Tine came closer to the door but he still couldn't hear anything, his eyes widened, he looked at the maids

"Why didn't you enter?!"

"He told us to leave sir..." one of them replied, Tine tried to open the door but he was so scared that he couldn't stop trembling, a maid opened the door and she was the first who saw Sarawat on the floor while Tine still couldn't see him 

"What's wrong?" Tine asked but she didn't say anything, Tine looked inside

"S... sarawat..."
