Mt. Silver Summit
"We're here," May exclaimed, breathlessly. She caught her breath, before continuing, "I thought it was going to take much longer than it did."
"Bear in mind," Brendan replied, after catching his breath. "We landed on mountain, not at it's base. We were probably three-quarters from the summit when we landed. Also, be careful; the air is much thinner up here. We're at an altitude of twelve thousand three hundred and eighty-eight feet. So you'll run out of breath a lot quicker up here. It's one of the reasons why only hardened Trainers visit this mountain. Also, technically, were close the highest accessible point of the mountain, but Red and Green live down here. That path over there leads to a small rock circle that is used as a meditating area."
"So where's Red and Green's house?" May asked.
"Easy," Blue replied. "See that cave over there? That's where they chose to settle down."
"They live in a cave!?" She exclaimed.
"Sorta," Blue chuckled. "Here, Yellow and I will show you around. The others are already inside. You coming, Brendan?"
"You guys go on ahead," he replied. "I have to talk with Red. He's usually mediating  around this time, isn't he?"
"How do you know all of this, Brendan?" May asked.
"I've been here multiple times, a lot of first time Patrons used to come up here to meet the most powerful Patron and Trainer, Red. Some would even meditate up here, when they needed guidance about how to adjust to Patron life, or if their relationship with their Legendary was strained."
"Are you saying Patrons used to come up here just to talk with their Legendary?" She asked in disbelief.
"You're half right," Brendan told her. "They would come up here to speak with a Legendary, but not their own. They'd come up here to ask for guidance from a very special Legendary. And for whatever reason, Mt. Silver used to be very dear to her."
"So I could communicate with something other than Kyogre?"
"Unfortunately, not anymore. The One who loved this mountain and would communicate with us has been silent as of late. He looked at the setting sun. "Its's getting dark. Go with Blue and Yellow. They'll show you around and introduce you to Green. Claire, Wally, and Steven should be in there. I'll be back soon."

Mt. Silver Summit
"Y'know, I'm getting nostalgic, walking this old trail," Brendan thought, speaking with Groudon.
"It's only been five years since you chose to become a full Patron," the volcano-dwelling Legendary muttered.
"Feels just like yesterday, doesn't it?" Brendan grinned. "I've been a Patron since I was fourteen years old, right?"
"Sounds about right to me. Frankly, I'm impressed. You've lasted longer than most of my other Patrons. Most of them couldn't handle my power. But you.... You took to it almost as rapidly as it took to you. Truth be told, you're probably one of my best, and definitely most frustrating Patrons."
"And I'm frustrating because I don't care about the rivalries of you Legendaries?"
"Pretty much."
"Good," he stopped at a gap in the path. "I don't remember this being here. Oh well." Brendan flicked his wrists, sending smoke and sparks dancing off of rocks or fizzling into nothingness as they descended down the sheer drop to his left. He leapt, shooting a puff of fire from his hands to propel him across the gap. "Not like it's much of an obstacle anyways."
He continued following the trail, and eventually he could sense Red's presence.
"His aura is extremely stable and focused. He's really concentrating. But, he should be done meditating soon. But, just in case, I'll try to reach him telepathically. Groudon, care to lend a hand."
"Yeah, yeah."
Brendan sat down and began to meditate.
"It's been awhile since I did this."
Gradually, Brendan began to feel his awareness of his surroundings fade away into nothing, and focused completely on his Aura. Once he'd established a stable connection to his Aura, he began to concentrate on projecting his Aura outward, hoping that Red would be able to detect it.
"If it works, Red will respond."
"Didn't have to, I'm right in front of you. I sensed you awhile ago."
Brendan opened his eyes and saw the Patron of Mewtwo standing right in front of him. "Hey, Red. When did you-"
"Before you began meditating," Red replied. "I was meditating to try to make sense of that powerful Aura that you and your friends brought. Mewtwo's said it's an Aura Guardian. But, that doesn't make sense."
"Honestly, I've learned a lot in this past week that I would've just shrugged off as myth. But, then it became personal.
"How so?" Red asked.
"Well, I had a disturbing dream where I found my girlfriend, May, dead in an alley. And then the dream ended with me getting killed, too. I got hit by a Shadow Ball. And the most disturbing part about the whole incident was what Groudon told me when I woke up. And I think it ties in with all of the killings too."
"A Patron of Darkrai?" Red guessed. "Mewtwo already told me that Groudon was asking around. Everything kinda led him to her. And I also read your mind, and that confirmed what Mewtwo told me as well. And," he added. "You aren't the only one who had a weird dream like that. I had one as well. As did Yellow, Blue, and Green. I'm certain that every Patron around the world has had a premonition like ours. Including April, Steven, and May."
"Premonition?" Brendan echoed, suddenly feeling sick. "So, you're saying that...."
"Well, to be honest, premonition might be a stretch," Red admitted. "I can't say for certain that every Patron had one. But I'm fairly certain that all of them experienced a dream that wasn't just a dream, if that makes any sense. What I don't know, is what they saw in their dream. It might've been a premonition, or it could've been something more..... dark."
"But that's not what I meant," Brendan growled, feeling panic rise in his chest. "If May's death is a premonition, then is it unavoidable!?"
"No, of course not," Red reassured him. "First off, the point we have premonitions is so that we can act on them. Change their outcomes to something more suitable. Do people always succeed? No. But, we're more than regular people now, Brendan. We have the powers of our Legendaries. We have to power and ability to change our fates and the fates of our loved ones. It's Arceus' gift to us. You, May, Steven, Blue, and Myself are the Patrons of some of the strongest Legendaries in this world. May will be fine. I don't need Mewtwo to look into the future to tell me that."
Brendan thought about Red's words for a bit. He already Red had a point, and he felt himself relax a bit. Then he remembered something else Red said.
"Now, let's head back. The sun's almost down."
"Wait," Brendan said. "You said two other things that I need to ask you about."
"You want to know about what I dreamt?" He guessed. "Sure. After all, you told me your dream, so it's only fair that I tell you mine. But, I'm going to have to make it quick," Red cleared his throat. "Alright, so in my dream, I saw Green running, with a child in her arms. She was scared. She was bruised, and she had wounds on her head arms. The child didn't look much better, and appeared to be unconscious. Eventually the kid came too, and Green tripped and fell. She told the child to run and then a shadowy figure appeared. As she got to her feet, the figure moved with blinding speed and appeared to faze through her. After a few seconds, she fell to her knees, and then fell to the ground, dead. The child was hiding, but saw everything. I could hear the child, a girl, making an audible cry. The figure ignored her, and instead walked over to me. He got within mere inches of me, and then he spoke. He said, "Tragic, isn't it?" in a mocking tone, and began to laugh maniacally. Brendan, you have no idea how much I wanted to strangle him. But I was paralyzed. I tried desperately to move even a finger, but I couldn't. The figure saw this, laughed one more time, and then disappeared. After that, I woke up, feeling Green shaking me awake. I'd made quite a commotion, and she said I'd been crying, too."
"That's messed up, man," Brendan exclaimed, feeling a surge of anger. "That figure... How would you describe it?"
"Made of nothing but-" Red began.
"Shadows?" Brendan guessed.
"Hey, that's my thing," Red muttered. "But, yes. It was made of shadows. Even had this weird black miasma coming off of it."
"Red, I think that's who I saw in my dream. The one that killed May, and then me."
"Brendan, do not mention my dream or yours to anyone else, understand? We can't afford any panic."
"Well, May, Steven, April, and all Team Brimstone, knows about mine."
"Make sure no one else finds out, and don't tell them about mine. Not even Green knows."
"I won't, don't worry," Brendan reassured him. "Now, onto the second question, you mentioned a little girl in your dream. Who was it?"
"It wasn't Claire, don't worry," Red reassured him. "I'm not sure who it was. Another Patron, maybe? There's quite a few younger Patrons."
"Red? Brendan?" A familiar feminine voice called. "The others are waiting on you guys! You didn't fall off the mountain again, did you Brendan?"
"Not funny, Leaf!" Brendan called to her. A pretty long-haired brunette climbed up to them. She had a modest frame, and was wearing her usual light blue sleeveless shirt with a skirt on top of white leggings.
"I told you before, call me Green, you idiot!" She muttered, punching him in the shoulder playfully.
"You'll always be Leaf to me," Brendan replied, laughing. "After all, you gained that nickname for a reason."
Two years ago, Summer
Pallet Town
"Ah," Brendan sighed, stretching as he laid in the grass, head under the shade of a hornbeam tree, and his amulet glinting in the sunlight. "Thanks for chilling with me, guys," He said, turning his head to look at Red and Green. "It's been a rough week so far, I needed to get away from Littleroot for awhile."
"Don't mention it, dude," Green replied. "Red and I needed some time off, too. I just wish Blue and Yellow were free to hang out as well."
"So, are you guys really serious about going to settle down stop Mt. Silver?" He looked at Red.
"Yeah, we are," Red replied. "I think it'll be fun, not to mention, we'll be away from people so it'll be easier for me to keep my necklace secret." He pulled out his amulet, a ring suspended by string, similar to what a Hypno carries around. "We don't want to hurt the town if something goes wrong."
"Same for me and these earrings," Green pointed to her earrings, which were similar to Red's amulet."
"Well, if either of you ever need a drink, or a place to stay if you just want a break from the mountain, just stop by Littleroot."
"Hey, speaking of Littleroot," Green said. "Are actually going to go through with gathering a Team and building a bar?"
"Well, first off," Brendan said, grabbing a fallen leaf. "It's going to be a Pub, not a bar. And as for my Team, well it's currently just Wally, Damian, and Giri." He blew the leaf into the air, the breeze snatching it away, and grabbed another one.
"Doesn't "Giri" mean in-law?" Red asked.
"He says it also means honor, and courtesy" Brendan replied. "It's kind of a nickname he gave himself, and it wound up sticking." He blew the leaf into the air, and this time the breeze shifted, and the leaf landed on Green's hat.
"Speaking of nicknames," Brendan said, looking at Green. "Leaf."
"What?" Green asked, confused.
"You have a leaf on your hat," Brendan said. "So I've decided your nickname is Leaf."
"Well, what if I do this?" She took off her hat. Almost immediately, a leaf fell from the tree and glided gently onto Green's head.
"Well, it's destiny now. It happened a second time."
"Aah!" Green yelped, frantically brushing the leaf off of her head. This time, Red grabbed a leaf, and placed it on her head.
"I think it's cute," he said, smiling at his girlfriend, making her blush.
"Er, well, I guess it's not the worst nickname I've heard."

Mt. Silver Summit
"Well, anyways," Green huffed. "What's been taking you guys so long? Did you actually fall off the mountain again, Brendan?"
"Not this time," he replied. "I'm just admiring the view, and I managed to get Red to join me for a bit," he said, looking at her. "Wait, something about you is different."
"Oh?" Green asked, teasing, holding Red's arm. "Like what?"
He look at her, squinting his eyes. He knew something was different about her. Then he noticed her abdomen was slightly swollen.
"Holy shit, you're pregnant!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Yep," She replied. "The others know about it as well. I've been expecting for about two months, now. Red's been flying me to New Bark Hospital for routine checkups. We'd go to Pallet, but with the recent, um, "incidents", we felt it would be safer going into Johto. But this also means something else."
"What?"
"We're leaving Mt. Silver. Red and I both agreed that we want our child, be it a boy or a girl, to grow up amongst other people. To live a normal life. So, once everything settles down, we're hoping to move to New Bark Town, or, if the situation improves, back to Pallet."
"Well, congratulations, guys! I'll do whatever I can to help. Both with the move and with finding any supplies you'll need for your kid. Do you guys still need a crib?"
"Actually, yes. Why?"
"Damian's father is a part time carpenter, and his mother makes furniture in Dewford. I'll put in a request for a crib for you guys."
"How much will it cost?"
"It's on the house," Brendan replied. "Consider it a show of appreciation from your friends at Brimstone Pub."
"Thank you, Brendan."
"Don't mention it, my friends," he replied. "Anyways, let's head back. The others are probably missing us right about now."
