Just a quick heads-up, this chapter is going to introduce a lot more Patrons.

Tree of Beginning
May and Green stepped out of the chamber they were previously ascending, having arrived at the heart of the Tree.
May had never been in the Tree's heart before, and was taken aback by the sight. Massive crystals, some as large as a an Onix, were jutting out of the walls, floor and ceiling. They were a spectrum of different colors, from green, to blue, to red, and all in between. But the most impressive crystal easily dwarfed all of the other ones, and was a brilliant orange. It was brilliantly phosphorescent, giving off a gentle orange light, which May swore was pulsating slightly, like the crystal was breathing. She immediately knew that that was the heart of the Tree.
Apart from the magnificent crystals and the heart, she noticed that there were four thrones in front of the heart. She saw four old men sitting there. Each of them were wearing similar clothes, and May guessed that they were wearing a garb not unlike what a monk would wear. Three of them appeared to be relatively close in age, around 80 or so, save for the fourth one, who appeared much younger, maybe 30 years of age at most. May saw that despite each of the monks looking rather similar in style, they all were distinct.
The first monk, sitting on the left and closest to where May and Green were, had a completely shaved head, rounded nose, green eyes, and a light tan, with a snowflake tattoo on his wrinkled head. He was sitting on a throne made of ice. A black, red, and yellow beaded necklace with a single zircon star was around his neck.
The second monk, sitting next to the first, appear to be similar in age and tan. However, unlike the first monk, this one had hair, which had since grayed with age. His eyes were green, and his nose was pointed. He too had a beaded necklace of similar color to the first monk, but his was adorned with a gray moonstone, shaped like a rhombus. He sat on a throne which appeared to have been made of metal.
The third monk in the row, only appeared similar to the other two monks in age and dress. His skin was much darker, and his black hair and beard were still lustrous, and well tended. His eyes were a stormy gray, and his nose was much more rounded. Around his neck was the same beaded necklace, but it's adorning feature was a jasper gemstone, carved in such a way as being reminiscent of a Venn diagram. He sat upon a throne made of stone.
The fourth monk, the one who was younger than his colleagues, had dark blue, close cut hair. His face was unwrinkled, and he only appeared to have a light stubble on his chin. His purple eyes were an interesting feature of his person, and his beaded necklace was adorned by an idocrase, carved to look like a tree. He sat upon the most astounding of the thrones, which was earthen, with two small waterfalls cascading down the sides of the backrest, and smoke wafting from the very top of the backrest.
"So kind of the both of you to finally join us, Patron of Mew and Patron of Kyogre," the monk sitting on the steel throne said, slightly irritated. "You're both fortunate that we decided to wait for both of you. Patron of Mew, go and take your seat." Green nodded did as the monk had ordered.
"Um, what about-"
"As for you, Patron of Kyogre," the young monk interrupted.
"Since you've finally decided to grace the Tree with your presence for the first time in the seven years since you've been a Patron," the monk sitting on the stone throne muttered. The younger monk looked at him sharply before the monk could continue his spiel.
"As for you, Patron of Kyogre, allow me to formally welcome you to the Tree of Beginning. Your attendance here is long overdue, as my blaisé colleague mentioned. However, given your occupation, I'll let it slide. All that matters is that you're here at last." The young monk raised his voice. "I'd like to welcome May Maple, the new Patron of Kyogre!" May turned around, and saw a breathtaking sight. There were various thrones, all arranged in a large sloped semicircle, and most of them had a person sitting in them. At the very top, May saw Wally and Claire, and guessed that the Lieutenants were all sitting up there. She also saw that her friends were all scattered around. She also saw Ash, Gail and the other Team Petal Lieutenants sitting in the center of the room.
Despite the greeting of the younger monk, the entire room remained rather quiet. May heard a few hushed whispers, but couldn't focus on them well enough to hear what they were saying. But could guess from the star-struck faces of a few Patrons that she was well known.
"Miss Maple, please take your seat," the young monk said.
"Umm, which is -" she was once again cut off by Brendan and Steven gesturing to an empty throne in between them. She walked over to them, climbing up the carven steps to get to her row, and trying to ignore the whispers, and the increased tension in the atmosphere. While some of them appeared to be fans, she could tell that there were quite a few were not as happy that she was there. Some of the Patrons she passed gave her a grave look.
"Why are so many of them-"
"Staring?" Kyogre guessed. "Well, there's a murderous Patron out and about, so they're probably not expecting you to live too long. But some of them know who you are, and maybe they are worried about your safety, especially if what that kid told us turns out to be true. And there's also a few here that probably just don't really like you. For instance, Manphy's Patron and her Team. They oppose us because Manphy and I both hold a claim to the term "Regents of the Sea".
Kyogre's words didn't make May feel anymore at ease, so she just decided to focus on getting to her throne as quickly as possible. Only once she was sitting with Brendan and Steven did she dare to relax.
"Nerve-racking, isn't it?" Brendan murmured to her. "Seeing so many Patrons, being introduced, walking to your throne with all eyes on you."
"Y-yeah," she admitted.
"Honestly, I envy you're single advantage there," Steven told her. "You're used that kinda stuff, owing to your experience as a Top Coordinator."
"I wish I could say that's true, but I have to disagree with you there, Steven. It's a wonder I didn't freeze on the way up here. I don't know how to explain it, but what I was feeling completely different than the stress of being on stage during a Contest."
"Well, just try to relax, alright?" Brendan said, taking her hand.
"Alright," she nodded. "So, where are the others? And why hasn't the meeting started?"
"These thrones are sorted out by Region. All around us, are the Patrons of the Hoenn Legendaries. Us, Latios, Latias.... all of them. The others are scattered around as such, but are also still with at least one other person. I believe we're still waiting on a few others. I'll admit, I'm surprised those four monks are willing to be so patient. They usually aren't."
"Who are they?"
"They're the Four Patron Monks," Steven told her. "The only humans allowed to live in the Tree 24/7. The one who is sitting on the throne of ice is Valery Abdulov, the Patron of Regice. The one on the throne of metal is Colin O'Mannin, the Patron of Registeel. The one on the throne of rock is Everett Newton. And the one who sits on the most intricate of the four thrones, is Sagara Tetsuji, the Patron of Regigigas. If you're wondering why he seems to be the youngest monk, that's because he is. He's the successor to Dante D'Amico, who passed away three years ago at the age of 99."
"Do they have Teams as well?"
"No, their lives are solitary ones."
"Shh!" A man with blue hair in front of them hissed.
"The meeting is about to start!" A woman with red hair told them. May noticed that she looked quite similar to the man with blue hair. "Sorry for my brother's tone. The stress of this whole situation is has everyone on edge. My name is Elisa Castel, and this is my twin brother, Killian. We're the Patrons of Latias and Latios, respectively. It's an honor to meet you, Ms. Maple. I'm a huge fan!" May smiled and waved. Elisa then became more serious, and dropped her voice to a whisper.
"So, is it true? Is Bogdan really going to attack the meeting?"
"It certainly seems like it," Brendan confirmed, looking around. "I knew that Patrons were getting killed but to think that there's so many Patrons that are just gone."
"Yeah, I heard that ten Patrons died, Erika from Celadon City among them," Elisa murmured. "I can only imagine how those Lieutenants of hers must be feeling. And then the Aura of that boy is.... astounding."
"Wait, you said that ten Patrons are dead?" May whispered. "Then why are there five other seats that are empty?"
"I don't know, but hopefully they're just in hiding."
May looked around again, now all too aware of their surroundings. Not only the stares, but the sinister meaning of the empty thrones that were scattered around.
"They belong to people who will never see them again. I have a feeling no one else is coming to the Meeting."
After what seemed like an eternity, but in actuality was likely only five minutes or so, one of the monks spoke. His voice was loud and commanding, and though the room was largely just hushed whispers and silence, the voice left no doubt in her mind that he could've spoken over a room of Exploud.
"Alright!" The monk said, and May realized that it was Sagara's voice. "It appears no one else will be joining this meeting. By the will of the Order, this meeting is now officially underway!"
To be continued.....

Just a quick note, I decided to break this chapter into two;I was originally going to just make one massive chapter, but I decided against it.
So next chapter will be the entire meeting, and we'll introduce more Patrons as well.

Also another quick heads-up. Tomorrow I start a new job, so I don't know how that'll affect these stories, as my usual schedule is going to be hectic. So if things kinda seem slow (-er than usual) that's probably why.
Though the benefit being that the job will help me achieve some of the other goals I have in mind.

Anywho, check out OrigamiLantern11's profile and her side story, The Rainbow Wings of the Land and Silver Wings of the Sea!
And that's about it for this chapter!
So I'll talk to you guys in the next chapter!
