Somewhere else...
Brendan woke up, this time he was on Mt. Chimney, standing at the precipice where he'd fought Groudon years ago.
"Alright, Dreamland, what've you got in store for me this time? Bring it."
As if on command, the May from his nightmares appeared, shambling up to him. He smirked, closing his eyes, feeling a warmth radiate from his hand. "May." Opening his eyes, he saw the fake May standing right in front of him.
"I wonder, what should I call you? Night-May-re? Sounds kinda cheesy, but it certainly suits you. Well, I guess it doesn't matter now, because this is probably the last time we'll see each other."
"What are you talking about?" The nightmare whined, in a voice thick as mud. "I'm May. You failed to save me, don't you remember?"
"No, no you are not."
"Yes I-"
"No, you're not. Give it up. The real May is sleeping peacefully," he looked at his right hand, and balled it into a fist. "And she's holding this hand. You don't have any power here anymore.... Harley. So drop the disguise." The nightmare, snarled, but slowly dissolved into a giant shadow. And out of that shadow stepped the Patron of Darkrai. "Well, I guess I shouldn't exactly call you "Harley," huh?"
"Oh, Brendan, Brendan, Brendan," Harley laughed. "You're half right. This is one of my abilities, to torment my enemies while they sleep. Naturally, I use it tactically. You see, for every nightmare I make, I get stronger. And the stronger the Patron, the stronger I get."
"So, Dream Eater, then?"
"Precisely," he cackled, giving Brendan a round of applause. "Of course, to make a nightmare I need to borrow my victim's worst fear. And yours is, well, you've seen her enough as it is. Yes, that's right, that May you've encountered here is of your own design. Oh, and you're probably wondering about my plans, aren't you? Well, naturally I plan to kill May, that much you probably know, and I have the most-"
"Get to the point, clown."
"You wound me, Brendan," he sneered. "Well if you insist," he stopped laughing, choosing to adopt a more serious tone. "Well, I plan on domination."
"Oh, wow, world domination. Such an original plan, Giovanni."
"Oh, you misunderstand," Harley assured him. "You see, I don't just plan on taking over the world, I plan on destroying it, and rebuilding it in my image. And to do that, I need more power. And what better way to obtain that power than taking it? And who are the most powerful humans in this world? The ones who wield Items created by Legendaries, of course. Now, procuring these is fairly easy. Well, for me, that is. Kill Patron, take Item. Simple. Now, admittedly, some Patrons choose to destroy their Item so it'll reunite with it's Legendary, and therefore become unattainable. Of course, that's just a temporary issue."
"You're completely insane."
"Guilty as charged," he admitted. "And don't misunderstand, me telling you all of this isn't a tactical error on my part. You see, no one can stop me, so ultimately me telling you my plans will make little difference in the end."
"But I have one last question," Brendan growled. "You said that you could give Patrons nightmares. Why haven't you done that to May?"
"Ah, the question everyone wants to know, I'd guess? You and all your friends? It's quite simple, really. There's three reasons. One, she isn't even a threat to me, so why waste the energy? Two, because this is my game, and I play it my way. But my favorite reason, perhaps, is reason number three; the death I have planned for her is so slow, agonizing, and horrific, that it would put anything I could do to her in her dreams to shame."
"I've heard enough," Brendan snarled, his eyes glowing. The ground began to shake, and Brendan's usual pink eye glow was replaced by a brilliant, piercing yellow. "These nightmares end now," he declared as Mount Chimney erupted. Lava and molten rock shot into the sky, landing around Brendan and Harley.
"You won't defeat me here," Harley exclaimed, laughing like a madman once again. "As I've said before, no one will stop me!" A large shadow ball formed in his hands. "Time to wake up, Brendan! Give my regards to May, will you?!"
He threw the shadow ball at him at high speed. Knowing he couldn't avoid avoid it, Brendan raised his arms to his chest, and crossed them, bracing himself.
"What feeling is this?" He thought, leaning back slightly, and raising his crossed arms to his face. His hands and wrists glowed, engulfed in fire. He also saw bright yellow streaks on his hands, stretching beneath his sleeves. "I've never seen or felt anything like this before when I use my powers! It's like my body's moving on it's own!" Suddenly, his arms got pulled down to his side, and an all-engulfing wall of flame was unleashed. The heat radiating from the giant blaze was intense, and eventually it collided with the shadow ball, which evaporated as it was engulfed by the fire. The blaze continued raging towards Harley, who could only laugh maniacally as the blaze consumed him. Before he was completely consumed, he cackled out a warning to Brendan.
"This doesn't change anything, you hear me!? You might've killed me in this dream, but I'll be back! I'm still alive in the waking world! I'm already a thousand times stronger than any Patron now, and I'll just keep getting stronger!"
Eventually, the flames ultimately dispersed. The nightmare Harley was gone, burned from the dreamscape. Brendan felt the unfamiliar surge of power fade away, and he suddenly felt an extreme exhaustion. He became aware of Groudon's presence, and when he turned back towards Mt. Chimney, he saw the Continent Pokémon, streaked with the same yellow energy that Brendan had seen on his hands. He let out a grand and deafening roar and looked at Brendan, before sinking back into the depths of Mt. Chimney. Then the exhaustion Brendan felt overwhelmed him, and he collapsed.

"Ugh, what was that?" Brendan thought as he began to wake up. "Hey, Groudon, what was that power? I had yellow streaks all over me! And so did you!"
"Ah, so you found out about my Primal form? For the record, human, those aren't "yellow streaks". They're pure energy. And to think that it could even affect a Patron.... But, wait, how did you find out about it? I don't remember telling you about it!"
"So it does exist!?" Groudon just huffed in affirmation. Brendan quickly explained his dream to him, and also asked about that massive wall of fire.
"Hmm, impressive, human. As for the blaze you made, it sounds like a variation of Fire Blast, but that move is mouth-based shot."
"So it's a new move?"
"It could be, yes."
"Then can I name it?"
"I guess?" The Legendary said, unsure.
"Hmm... Maybe the Advancing Firewall?"
"No."
"A-"
"Copyrighted. So don't mention it. Also, wrong... Everything."
"Wildfire Blitz?"
"Good enough, but won't you need to be in that Primal State to do it? And we don't even know if it's possible."
"I did it in the dream."
"Yes. In a dream. All that proved is that it might be feasible. It's a ton of energy, human, and it could be too much."
"True, but if it's possible, we might have an ace up our sleeve against Harley!" Brendan argued as May began to stir. "We'll continue this later, we need to get to the meeting. Should I tell the others?"
"If you want, human. But don't expect anything to come from it."
To be continued....And that's the next chapter, everyone! Kinda short, but it was just the dream sequence. I tried to lengthen the chapter as best as I could, so hopefully it's not too short for you guys.

But it shouldn't be too long of a wait until then.
