Littleroot Pokémon Lab Warehouse (Old)

"Ah, it's good to be back in this old rusting Beedrill hive," Brendan sighed after kicking open the rusted door.

"Yeah, I've been meaning to ask," Dawn piped up as they walked into the decrepit warehouse. "Is this place still even remotely safe?"

"I've used this place ever since the Lab abandoned it, which was a few years ago. It was a rusting nightmare then, and it still is. Honestly I think the Lab kinda just wants me use this place until it literally falls to pieces. I don't know about safe, per say, but it is still standing. But, we aren't here to discuss if this place is safe or not. We're here to teach you guys how to use your Powers."

"First up, you guys all need to learn how to channel Energy," Steven said the group. "Energy is a byproduct of your Aura. It also influences your endurance. To use your Powers, you will be using Energy."

"....and you'll probably run low on Energy after... An hour at most," Brendan added. "I've said before, using your Powers for the first time is incredibly exhausting. The body isn't exactly... calibrated for it the first few times. But, you'll adapt to it." He fixed his gaze on them. "If you start to feel faint, nauseous, tired, or if you feel like you can barely stand, then let us know."

"Those are signs that you're all running low on Energy," Green said. "Some people will develop a handful of these symptoms; and some won't. If you're like May, you won't show any at all. And that's extremely dangerous. If you can't tell what your limit is, then you need to be extremely careful. Otherwise you might die."

"And May only survived when she went way past her limit because of Ash's abilities with his Aura," Red added. "And there's no saying that his method will always work."

"Are we understood?" Brendan asked. All of the rookie Lieutenants nodded. Dawn then raised her hand.

"What do we do if we start to show signs of this exhaustion?" She asked. "If the training ends when all of us just pass out or collapse, then that would mean that we'd be wasting most of the day, right?"

"Correct. And as such, we're going to be taking an... unconventional path to training you guys."

"I like how that sounds," Flannery interjected. Brendan sighed and just nodded in acknowledgement.

"You might still be the same scatterbrained Gym Leader I fought six years ago, but at least you still have that optimistic attitude and spirit as well."

"Thanks.... I might have to use that quote at some point. Paraphrased, of course."

"That aside, I trust at least most of you know some form of martial art?" Brendan asked, looking at the group. The entire group raised their hands, some more so than others. "Alright. And how many of you know a martial art that doesn't involve beating someone with weapons?" He saw Paul lower his hand. "Alright. Does anyone here consider themselves proficient enough and capable enough to teach Paul what they know?" Dawn and Brock kept their hands raised as the others lowered theirs.

"Alright. Brock and Dawn, please teach Paul what you know."

"What does this have to do with training us to use our Powers?" Iris asked.

"Since you all know how to fight unarmed, we're going to teach you how to incorporate your Powers into your fighting style. We're going to teach you how to do the moves, before teaching you how to unleash your Powers. The first couple days of your training will be like this. And right at the end of the day, you will be tested by us."

"A few things that should be said, however," Green mentioned. "As the others will say, I cannot participate in the training, but I can heal anyone who needs it, and I'll also be here if anyone needs to talk or rest."
