"I'll do it," Ash repeated, sounding more confident.
"Wonderful," Green replied. "Mew knew you'd help out!"
"Alright," Brendan spoke up once more. "So do we have anything else to talk about before the meeting? Or are we all set for tomorrow?"
"I think we're pretty much set, all that's left to do is rest," Red replied. "We'll have quite a busy day tomorrow, and the flight there is no joke."
"When should we head out, then?" Steven asked. "If the sunsets at six o'clock p.m., what time should we leave so we make it there in time."
"We'll leave by six o'clock in the morning," Red decided. "We'll eat here, set out, and we'll have to stop somewhere to get lunch on the way. Not to mention we'll need to relieve ourselves every now and again. Any objections?" Everyone shook their heads. "Alright, get some rest, meeting adjourned!"

Mt. Silver (Red's house/yurt)
After Red ended their meeting, Brendan and May walked around, looking for a place to sleep. Red and Green retired to their space, and Blue and Yellow followed suit.
"So where do we sleep?" May asked.
"Wally set something up for us probably,"  Brendan replied. "He's always prepared for stuff like this. And Red gave us some old blankets, so we should be good." He thought for a moment, looking at the blankets. They went outside, and sure enough, Wally had set up some identical tents for the gang.
"Thanks, Wally!" May thanked him.
"Thank Red and Green, actually," Wally explained. "They had the tents stored away. Ash and Wally already retired to the middle tent, and Claire and I will share the tent on the right," Wally gestured to the occupied tents. "You two have a tent as well, that one isn't occupied." He said, pointing to the leftmost tent. I'll head to bed soon, I just need to light the campfire." Wally swirled some embers into existence and shot them into the unlit campfire. "Done." May just looked in shock, before shaking her head.
"Sorry. I keep forgetting that every single member of Brimstone can control fire," May said.
"Well, once if you decide to set up a Team, you'll be able to give your Teammates control over water," Brendan reminded her.
"Brendan, I only just learned how to control water myself," she sighed, disappointed. "How can I give others a power I can't control properly?"
"You'll master your powers, May" Brendan reassured her. "But you won't be able to control them. We're dealing with forces of nature. Nature can't be tamed, all we can do is master our powers to the best of our ability."
"Still, I want to improve with my powers," she said, clenching her fists. Suddenly, she snapped her fingers. "I have an idea!" She went into their tent. Brendan went to follow her, until May's voice stopped him. "Don't come in yet! Give me a minute!"
"What the hell is she doing?" Brendan thought.
"Sprucing up, maybe?" Groudon guessed. "She's your girlfriend, human. And if I know anything about you, it's that you're full of surprises. And she's also Water Boy's Patron. Personally, I don't know who in their right mind would want to become Captain Waterwings' Patron. So you know, maybe she's crazy."
"Said the giant lizard that dwells within a volcano, to the boy who fought said lizard in said volcano."
"Hey, don't knock it till you try it," the giant lizard said.
"You can come in now, Brendan!" May said.
Brendan walked in, and saw a big rectangular prism made of water in the middle of the tent.
"May, what is this thing?" Brendan asked, deadpanned.
"It's a waterbed," May replied. "Maybe. I'm not entirely sure if it'll support us, but if it does, then yes. A waterbed." Here sapphire bracelet was glowing.
"But there was cots," Brendan said, still confused. "And sleeping bags."
"Look, I want to try to use my powers and maintain this waterbed for the entire night. And I was hoping we could sleep on it. It's probably more comfortable than the cots."
"May, you don't know what your limit is," he told her, afraid of what she was trying to do. "The last time you almost exceeded your limit you were out cold for two days. This could potentially kill you if you aren't ready."
"I know the risks, Brendan," she said quietly. "But I have to try. Last time I was fighting. This time it isn't a fight. I have to prove to myself that I can do this. I need to, Brendan." She looked at him, determination present in her sapphire eyes.
"I know," he sighed, embracing her. "I just don't want you to get hurt. You're really important to me. But if you need to do this, then I won't stop you. I'll stand by your side, no matter what."
"Oh, Brendan," she whispered, returning his embrace. "Thank you. Don't worry, I'll be careful. I promise."
"Alright," Brendan said after a few minutes of silence. "So we're supposed to sleep on this, then?" He looked at the "waterbed", feeling a stab of anxiety overtaking him.
"Yes," May replied. "We'll put a couple blankets between us and the water itself, in case I can't sustain the waterbed." She hopped onto the water, and the prism maintained it's shape. "It's working so far. Hop on, Brendan!"
"Uh, okay," he said, hesitantly resting his hand on the waterbed. "The surface tension is surprisingly durable, so it shouldn't give way. It feels like gelatin."
"What's wrong, Brendan? Are you nervous?"
"Yeah, kinda."
"It's safe, don't worry," she reassured him. "I guess a fire type Patron would be hesitant to get on a bed made of water."
"Alright," he said, taking a deep breath before slowly getting on the water bed. "Huh. It really does feel like gelatin."
"Oh, you were thinking that, too?" She asked, looking at him. "Well, I guess we should get some rest, huh?"
"Did you have any other plan?" Brendan asked, looking at her.
"Well, I did, but I don't want to risk it when we only have a tent," she explained. "I don't want the others, especially Claire, um, "hearing" us."
"Good point," Brendan agreed. "So, how about we just cuddle?"
"Brendan," May said, smiling. "I'd like that."

Somewhere else....
The scent of smoke and a loud scream jolted Brendan awake. He looked around rapidly, trying to get his bearings. He was in his room, back in Brimstone Pub, and it seemed to be the dead of night. He felt around, wondering wondering where May was.
"I'm alone? I thought May was right next to me. Who screamed? And why is my room pitch black?" He suddenly felt extremely uneasy. "And where's May? Was that scream her?" He snapped his fingers, summoning fire to his fingertips, and then manipulating the embers so they engulfed his hands. "I need to find her." The fire began to illuminate is room. In it's ambient light, his entire room was illuminated. Well, save for the giant hole in the wall. "How long was this here!?" He got up quickly and raced over to the hole. All he saw was darkness; even moonlight was non-existent. "Is there a new moon or something? It's darker than usual." He twirled his right hand, shooting off little embers in all directions, attempting to illuminate the pitch black night. Some of the embers illuminated a rooftop, but many fell into an unbreakable, stygian blackness, before ultimately dying and being swallowed by the stygian void.
"Guess I'm pretty high up, but that's weird, Brimstone's only a three-story building," he saw an empty glass on his nightstand. He cautiously grabbed it, and threw it into the impenetrable darkness. He waited to hear the sound of the glass shattering. Five minutes passed. "Or, the ground just doesn't exist. Yeah, this is a dream." He looked up to the illuminated rooftop, and was somewhat surprised to see some of the embers he shot up there just hovering. "Guess I go up. And I should probably be careful not to fall into the void. Hmm, it won't be possible to make that jump from this angle" He flicked his wrists and propelled himself forward with two gouts of flame. "Guess I'll have to wall jump this." He felt his hands and feet connect with the wall, and he shot himself back to the wall of the Pub. After a few minutes, he felt his hands grab the rooftop his flames had illuminated. Pulling himself up, he shot more fire around him, searching for where he was supposed to go. As the fires illuminated his surroundings, he realized that he was now in some type of meadow. His fires all hovered and brightened, and within that firelight, he could see the terrors and abnormalities that filled this garden. Flowers surrounded the mounds, stones, and trees, each one withered, sickly, and foul. Of the trees, very little could be said, save that all of them were warped and distorted in torturous fashion, and all of them were undeniably dead. Brendan could also see that various city-objects were held in a permanent stasis in the air, as though they were unaffected by gravity.
"What is this place?" Brendan wondered as he continued to explore the terrible garden, noting that the sights became even more impossibly wretched. "I get the feeling I shouldn't be here. I need to wake up. Now." He looked around, trying to figure out how to wake from this bizarre dream. As he searched, he heard the terrific scream that had originally greeted him when he woke in this dream world. He blinked, and suddenly found himself in front of May. He heard her crying.
"May?" He asked. He intensified the flames on his hands. "It's me, Brendan. Are you alright? What are you doing here?" She mumbled out something in between her fits of crying. "What?"
"Where were you, Brendan?" She  whispered slowly turning to face him. Brendan watched in horror as she turned around. Her eyes were missing, and she had a massive hole where her heart should be. "Where were you when I died?" She pointed at the ground, and Brendan realized that the stones he saw weren't just ordinary stones. They were graves, and he was staring at hers. All of a sudden the ground gave way beneath him, and he plunged, screaming into darkness.....

And that'll do it for this chapter. I was going to finish off the entire day in this chapter, but I didn't want to ruin the mood for this particular chapter.
That's the thing about reading a ton of Lovecraft, you get inspired to create a creepy dream world.... I hope I did a decent job in describing it, though. I've got an idea for a standalone horror story and it'll hopefully be done the same way. So that's something to look forward to, I guess.
Let me know how you guys liked it, and don't worry, the next chapter will be longer, I promise.
Oh and also check out and follow OrigamiLantern11's profile as well!
She's doing a side story for her own OC Patrons, which you can find in my reading list. Check it out, and if you like it, follow her profile too. It's pretty damn good so far, I do like the writing style she uses, and I do encourage that other readers do the same if they're interested. Just ask me first, though. I'll also put a list of Legendaries that still have yet to be claimed on my message board, and that'll be updated as often as possible.
Anyways that should be just about it for now, I'll see you guys in the next chapter!
