Thomas was walking back to school, again with Logan. The two had walked together a lot more, now that Roman was constantly rehearsing with someone. It had been two weeks since they first began walking and everyone was preparing for two things. One, it was the end of term in a week which would just so happened to tie with a certain purple-haired emo's' birthday. Two, the cast calls would come out today.
"Do you know who's been casted, Lo?" Thomas asked, making Logan look up from his news article that he'd been reading on his phone.
"Hmm? Oh, yes, I have that knowledge." Logan replied.
Thomas waited but, when his friend didn't continue speaking, he prompted, "Could you tell me who has been casted?"
Logan smirked at him, raising a cocky eyebrow. "I'm afraid I can't, Thomas."
"Oh, the sorrow!" Thomas laughed, placing a hand to his head. "How will I be able to survive without knowing?"
"You continue breathing?"
"It was a rhetorical question, Lo."
"Oh, right. Sorry."

The pair had just entered the school grounds when Patton popped up. "You guys haven't seen Virgil, have you?" Asked the fatherly figure.
"No, Patton. We assumed he'd walk with Roman or Remus to continue rehearsals." Logan answered quickly.
"You sure he didn't just get to school early?" Questioned Thomas, tilting his head slightly.
Patton sighed, shaking his head. "I don't think so, he's not in his homeroom or the library..."
Thomas shrugged. "Maybe he's getting to school late?"
Roman had managed to push his way through a group of students, approaching his friends with a dramatic flick of his head. "Can you believe it, the emo nightmare ghosted me this morning!"
"He did?" Squeaked Patton with worry.
"He did!" Echoed Roman, not catching onto the panic in Patton's' tone. "I had to walk with my brother and Janus! Hot Topic wasn't even picking up his phone and I called him four times!" Roman snorted indignantly. "I even sent him text messages but he just didn't show up. Did he walk with any of you?"
Thomas shook his head. "I walked with Logan."
Logan nodded, confirming Thomas's' point as he folded his arms with concern. The logical one glanced around the courtyard. "There's a high chance we'll run into him inside. I suggest we enter the school building and wait for lessons to start because he'll have to have shown up by then."
"Good idea, LoLo," Patton agreed, also looking around the mess of students.
"Yes, marvellous suggestion, Specs! Come, Thomas, let's see if Panic! At The Everywhere is in the homeroom." Roman ordered, taking Thomas's' wrist and pulling him through the crowds.

It had been a while since Thomas and Roman had gotten to talk. Somehow, Roman managed to make sure the time they did spend together was never awkward with a constant stream of conversation, and Thomas found himself missing his best friend, even though he was right ahead of him.
Virgil still hadn't arrived when Mr Huggins began to talk the register. The homeroom teacher skipped over Virgil's' name casually.
This caused Roman to frown and raise his hand.
"Eliza Ham- Yes, Mr Milton?" The teacher said, noticing Roman's' hand rather quickly.
"Sorry, Sir, but where is Virgil?" Roman asked, lowering his hand.
