Thomas was lounging on the couch during the early hours of the 24th of December. He flicked through his phone, almost falling off the couch when it suddenly started to ring. Okay, so he did fall off the couch, so what?

He rubbed his head and checked the caller. "Why the hell is Patton calling me at 8:30 am on Christmas Eve?" He said, hissing slightly as his hand brushed where he'd hit his head.

Thomas picked up the phone quickly. "Hi!"

"THOMAS!" Screamed Patton down the line.

"Jeez, Pat, that was loud! What is it?"

"THOMAS! LOGAN ASKED ME TO HAVE LUNCH WITH HIM! WHAT THE H-E DOUBLE TOOTH-PICKS DO I DO?!"

Thomas hesitated. "You say yes?"

"I HAVE! I NEED FASHION ADVICE! COULD YOU LET ME IN?"

Thomas blinked. "What?" He heard a knock on his front door. Opening it, he instantly saw Patton. He hanged up on the phone and just tilted his head. "Really, Pat? Really?"

.:*:.

Patton paced up and down the sitting room, explaining what had happened. "So he calls me and asks how I am and all that usual conversation stuff and then he invited me to eat lunch with him."

"Yes?" Thomas asked, scribbling down on a sheet of paper he'd found.

"And I asked if we should invite you guys and he said that he'd rather prefer it to be just us and then asked if I'd be able to come and I blurted out yes. And then he was like, 'great so it's a date. I'll see you later, Patton,' then poof!" Patton threw his hands up into the air. "He hangs up!"

Thomas smirked up at his friend. "You're being more dramatic than Roman right now. Look, Logan is going to be just as nervous as you. He probably wrote himself a script for that one phone call!" Thomas teased, pointing his pen loosely at Patton.

"Thomas, what am I gonna do?" Whined Patton, obviously having ignored whatever Thomas had said. "What do I wear? Do I wear something casual or something really posh?"

Sighing as he stood up, Thomas put his hands on his hips. "Patton."

"Yes?"

"I'm giving you a makeover. Get me to your house."

.:*:.

Thomas met Patton's' parents instantly and it explained a lot about his bubbly friend.

Patton's' mother, while being a scatterbrain, would suddenly give random facts. She wasn't very tall, but slim and freckled along her cheeks and neck, reminding Thomas of Virgil, whose freckles made up 75% of his appearance. She had big round glasses and smelt like pastry. She'd greeted the two boys with a cheerful, 'Good Morning,' and a large hug.

Patton's' father was rounder than his wife, also sporting glasses and freckles. He spoke only in dad jokes. Literally. You had a 3/4 chance that the next thing he'd say would be a dad joke. And Thomas thought Patton had been bad.

The two boys rushed up to Pattons' room and Thomas flung open his wardrobe.

"Honey, you are going to need to look amazing but modest at the same time," Thomas said, inspecting the closets' contents. "Okay, this shirt!" He decided, throwing a pastel blue shirt to Patton.

Patton grinned as he looked it over. "I seriously feel like it's my birthday and Virgil is making me look awesome! He fusses so much about appearance, no matter what he says!"

"No joke, I saw so much eyeliner in his room that I'm guessing he applies, like, really subtly." Chortled Thomas. He found a pair of denim dungaree-shorts and tossed them to Patton. "These!" He riffled through a small cardboard box on the ground filled with socks and chucked some with cats to his friend before grabbing a baby pink bomber jacket. "Pat, you are gonna look so gay that Logan won't even know what to do with himself!"

Patton laughed, gathering the clothes in his arms. "One second, let me get changed!"

.:*:.

Patton looked perfect in the outfit Thomas had fixed for him. The pastel colours managed to pair with the dark blue denim, and Patton decided to wear odd shoes to look a little more interesting. His wrists were covered in bangles, hair ties, scrunchies and bracelets, and a lilac flower crown sat lopsided on his head.

Thomas grinned. "Go get him, tiger!" His friend tilted his head in confusion and Thomas just laughed. "Call me if he tries anything!"

"Thomas, this is Logan we're talking about, not someone like Remus!"

"Fair. Call me though, anyway! I have to know if this OTP is canon!"

A knock was heard and Patton quickly became  breathless and flustered. Thomas grinned and pushed his friend down to his date.
