"-Virgil Storm! You are all through!" Remy gave a small nod to those he'd mentioned, before sipping his coffee and heading off to the wings.
Romans' jaw dropped. "Woah. That was far more suspenseful than it should've been."
"C'mon, kiddos!" Squealed Patton, "Let's get Virgil and go to the ice cream parlour! It's all on me!"
Logan sighed. "Patton, please stop calling us kiddos. It's hardly necessary - we're all the same age."
"Aw, sorry, Lo, but you are all so cute!" Patton protested with a playful giggle and an innocent smile.
"Fine..." Murmured Logan, allowing Patton to lead him away as they rushed to get Virgil.
Thomas grinned at Roman. "They'd be a cute couple."
"I know!" Roman agreed. "Finally, someone who agrees with me! They'd be perfect for each other! Virgil just grunts in that uninterested way of his whenever I bring it up with him."
"Sounds like Virge," Thomas replied with a shrug as he started to turn off all the lighting effects. "Let's go catch up, I don't wanna miss free ice cream!"

They sat in the parlour gossiping. It was busier than last time, Thomas noted, filled to the brim with other members of the drama club: whether eating away the sorrow of being a background cast member or rejoicing that they have a shot at a main role didn't matter. Joan looked overworked.
"So, emo nightmare, I think-"
"Don't lose a brain cell over it, Princey." Virgil glanced up at Roman cockily.
Roman scoffed. "I was going to say, I think we should rehearse together, sometimes get Remus to rehearse with us. You know, until the actual cast gets called."
Patton leaned into Thomas to whisper, "They pick groups and work within those groups. Remy checks who's performing well and who could pull that off on stage then says who got the part before Christmas - no auditions required apart from the first one!"
"Huh," Commented Thomas, before tuning back into Virgil's' and Roman's' conversation.
"I guess, Princey. I'm free on weekends, not weekdays." Virgil shrugged, sipping from the milkshake he had ordered.
Logan cleared his throat, "Virgil, you will still be able to design costumes this year right? Because that's one of your focus jobs, isn't it?"
"Why?" This was Virgil's' way of saying yes to most questions.
"Because the other designer had to move schools. She won't be present, and you are the only over decent one our club has." Explained Logan.
Virgil sagged. "Aw, did she really? Damn, I liked her. Yeah, I'll still be able to design. Won't be a problem." The emo shrugged. "Want me to sketch out some drafts for you later, nerd?"
Logan sighed. "That'd be satisfactory, yes."
Thomas snickered, eating a scoop carefully as he looked at his new-found friends. God, weren't they all a bunch of misfits?

Sorry, it's really short! Didn't have much to put in this chapter apart from Virgil being cast!
