18: Jealousy

Lisa pov
My body was heating up and I felt a sudden pain in my left foot.

I made my way out of the dancing crowd and leaned against the wall, looking down.

Maybe I shouldn't have worn high heels, I thought to myself, massaging my hurting ankle.

For some time I just watched all the other idols having fun until I felt someone's presence right next to me.

I turned my head into his direction and was immediately blinded by his smile.

Hoseok first looked into my eyes and then down at my ankle. His smile slowly faded away and his hand went to my arm to support me.

"Are you hurt?", he asked, worry washing over his face.

I shook my head and smiled at him awkwardly. "It's just my shoes. They're a bit uncomfortable."

I put my foot back on the ground, which led to him pull his arm away.

"So you can't dance?"

Once again I shook my head.

"Not with these shoes", I replied, "But you can go ahead if you want."

His brows drew together as he looked back and forth between me and the dance floor.

"You sure?"

I followed his gaze into the crowd and nodded. His eyes were on me for a few seconds before he turned away, making his way into the partying mess.

Forcing a smile on my face I walked along the wall of the night club until I got to the bar.

I sat down on one of the stools and ordered a tequila shot.

As I waited for the bartender to hand me the drink I looked over my shoulder, trying to spot Hoseok in the crowd.

It took me some time but when I finally found him I felt my mood drop.

He was dancing with another girl, laughing at her jokes and having the time of his life.

Even though I didn't want to admit it I was jealous.

I knew I had no right to feel that way because we weren't in any sort of relationship but I could do nothing against it.

The girl was pretty, no doubt. But something about the way she looked at him didn't seem genuine.

It was something in her eyes that told me she was actually annoyed and waiting for something to happen.

I didn't want to continue to watch them because it made me feel like a stalker but I couldn't stop somehow.

They danced for some more and just when I was about to turn around I saw her taking him by his collar and pulling him close to her.

"Your drink, miss."

The voice of the bartender made me turn back around. I thanked him and took the shot glass, clenching my hand around it.

I would be lying if I said that seeing him having fun with other girls didn't hurt. But I knew that he wasn't mine so there was nothing I could do.

I chugged down the alcohol, feeling it burn in my throat. Almost a little too aggressive I placed the glass back on the counter and ordered another shot.

"Hey, I've been looking for you."

Hoseok's voice made me freeze. 'Looking for you' my ass.
