20: I like you

Lisa pov
Hoseok unlocked the door of his studio and pulled me inside.

He turned on the light and closed the door behind us.

"Sorry for the mess, I actually didn't expect to come here with someone else", he mumbled, scratching his neck.

I smiled at him, telling him that it was okay.

His studio was just as I had imagined. The walls were filled with colorful paintings and the couch had two of his signature flower pillows laying on it.

He sat down on his chair and turned on his laptop. Not knowing what to do I just stood there, looking around and admiring every little detail.

One could really see that Hoseok had put a lot of thought into how to decorate his studio.

Everything looked like he placed it with love, love for the music he created here.

"It should be in this folder", he mumbled.

I stepped beside him and watched from over his shoulder. He let out an excited sound and placed the laptop back on his desk.

He turned on the two speakers that were placed on the right and the left side of his desk and turned around in his chair.

"Are you ready to hear it?", he asked with the brightest smile I've ever seen on him. I noticed how his eyes wrinkled into little fishes, making me smile back at him as I nodded.

He pressed on the keyboard and while the song started to play, I just stood right next to him, listening to the first few beats of it.

Then he leaned back in his seat and took me by my hips.

Gently he pulled me on his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind like a teddy bear. His head rested on my shoulder.

My heart skipped a beat and for a moment I forgot how to breathe.

The song was upbeat and it really fitted him.

He sang along to a few parts of the song, making me admire his vocals. Just like me, he was a rapper in his group but he still had the voice of an angel.

We continued to listen to the song and I would be lying if I said that it wasn't great. It was fun to listen to and if I hadn't been sitting on Hoseok's lap I would have been dancing around to it.

His warm breath against my neck made me shudder. He must've thought that I was cold because he instantly leaned to the side to grab a blanket.

As the last few beats of the song played he placed his head back onto my shoulder.

"Are you cold?", he whispered.

"A bit", I lied and gulped. I wasn't cold at all, in fact, it was his presence that made me feel all hot and nervous.

He gently wrapped the blankets around our bodies and leaned forward. With a remote controller, he turned off the headlight and turned on his purple LED lights instead.

Then he put on a chilled Spotify playlist and wrapped his arms back around my body.

He stood up, lifting me a few inches up into the air, making me squeal.

"What are you doing?", I laughed, trying to get out of his grip.

Our laughter filled the room as he stepped towards his couch, with me still in his arms.

Hoseok let me down and let himself fall back down on his couch. I turned around and before I could even say something he pulled me down to him.

I landed right on top of him. Our nose touched as I felt his hands put the blanket over us.

My hands were resting on his shoulders while his were on my back.

None of us said anything. Only the music in the background could be heard.

Nothing else mattered at that very moment.

Our eyes locked and I think in that very moment I realized how beautiful his eyes were.

They had some sort of depth to it as if they were about to tell me his life story.

And I was ready to listen. I was ready to hear about his worries, about the hard times he had to go through and all the good times he had been blessed with.

We could have stayed like that forever, I wouldn't have minded.

Yet, there was this question popping up in my head that made it almost unbearable to continue looking him into the eyes.

"There's something bothering you again, am I right?", Hoseok asked quietly with his brows knitted, "I can see it in your eyes."

I gulped and rested my head on his chest so I wouldn't have to look into his eyes anymore.

If he was going to give me the answer I didn't want to hear, I wouldn't want him to look at me. He should not see the way I would smile at him pained, closing my eyes as I would feel my heart starting to shatter slowly but surely.

"You can tell me. It's okay." One of his hands went up to my head, stroking softly over my hair.

The way he was treating me made me press my eyes shut as I finally got all my courage together.

I didn't want to be a coward. I wanted to take an initiative and live my life to the fullest, even if it meant making irrational decisions and taking risks.

"Hoseok, what- what is that between us?", I asked, biting on my lower lip.

I was scared of his answer since I knew his answer would change everything that was going on between us.

He looked down at me and put his chin against my head. "I don't know."

For a few moments, he stayed silent. I heard his heartbeat in his chest and with every breath, he took, my head rose and fell a bit.

"I like you. I really do. And to me, it seems like you like me to, or...?" He let his reply hang in the air.

"Mhm, I like you too."

Gently he placed a peck on the top of my head and continued to caress my hair.

"Then let's go on a few dates first. Just the two of us. How does that sound?"

I nodded and snuggled into his chest. "Sounds good."

His voice was so calming and I felt like I could fall asleep right then and there.

"Okay... and then we'll see if there's something more between us than what we have now", he added and once again I nodded.

I felt a weight fall from my shoulder. His answer was sensible and clear, it was something I could work with.

My heart calmed down and it felt like I was finally being able to breathe in properly.

"Do you want to stay the night?" He turned us so that we were laying beside each other now, looking into each other's eyes.

My head was resting on his arm while his other hand was still on my back. His fluffy hair was falling into his face, making him look adorable.

"I'd love to." And with those words he pulled me closer to him, placing a kiss on my lonely lips.
