With people chattering in the background, Aziel turned the numbers of his lock. Jason was on his pet spot with his phone out. He paused through his scrolling anticipating what the next gift might be.
He jerked back a little with Jason as something red popped out of his locker.
Overcoming the initial shock they noticed a mini red inflatable tube toy that moved around and waved at them with his weird happy face.
The small black machine at the bottom had a small ribbon bound to it with a gift tag hanging on it.
Picking up the gift tag he focused on the tag. Finally, a smile was on his face after the long weekend without school and his secret Santa.
'Your messy locker needs a good cleaning and some life to keep you motivated. :)'
He let out a small laugh along with Jason who read the message over his shoulder.
With mischievous eyes, Jason picked the toy up and poked the moving figure. Before Aziel could snatch it away from his hands, a smaller hand with nails painted blue came and took it away.
With a scowl on her face, Serena glared at the toy.
When Aziel tried to take it from her grasp but she quickly moved away. She scoffed at him and aimed her glare at him.
"You reject me for some girl you don't know? She must be some loner who tried to gain your attention through these things," she said pointing towards the toy."She must be pathetic, just like these gifts and for rejecting me that's what you deserve. Pathetic!"
She dropped the toy on the ground and stomped over it with her boots. Quickly Aziel pushed her away. Picking up now ripped and dirty toy he examined it for any other breakage.
His anger was pulsing hot through his veins but he controlled it. He never raised an angered hand on anyone and he didn't plan on doing that now, no matter how hard it was to control the urge.
Jason shouted as she quickly moved away. Students were whispering all around. Some talking about him and some talking about her.
Ignoring them Aziel carefully placed now his broken present in his bag and pulled a raging Jason along with him to his class.
"Ignore her. She is a bitch." Aziel muttered under his breath.
While at the same time tears escaped through her orange eyes. She sniffled slowly not at what she was called but at what her previous friend had become.
That night two hearts couldn't attain peace at all as snow falling outside buried their happiness.
