Fey Mansion - 13 years ago

"Em, have you gotten dressed yet as I asked?" Miyoung said, coming into my room.

"No. I don't want to go!"

"Ms. Emrie Fey! It's your mother's funeral. You have to go. You love her, don't you?"

I sat on the floor of my room in my underwear with my arms crossed, pouting.

"Let's go get dressed, quickly before your appa yells again!"

She pulled me to my feet and helped me slip on a black dress. She went to pick out a pair of black shoes and handed them to me.

"You're a big girl. I'm sure you can put these on by yourself. I'm going to your brothers' room to make sure they're ready."

I walked downstairs after putting my shoes on to see Father, Hyunjin, Joonho, and a group of his closest men dressed in black suits. Hyunjin is fixing Joonho's tie and Taemin and Sehun come down shortly after me.

Miyoung held my hand and we headed out to the limos outside our home.

The funeral was in a massive church. High pillars. Glass windows from the angled ceilings. Miyoung, Hyunjin, and us, four kids sat in the front row as Father made a speech. Father didn't let Jaehyun come back for the funeral. Once someone is exiled, they are no longer apart of the family.

Her body laid still in a cream-colored casket, lined with flowers. She wore a white dress that she wore when they were first engaged and around her neck was her necklace with all our initials engraved. She looked like an angel. But I guess some angels are destined to fall.

Bangtan Mansion - Present day

It's been four days since the incident with Jungkook. We didn't speak to each other once and I was only let out of my room to eat. He either ate in the kitchen or up in his room.

Rachel came around more often. I saw her doing laundry once and it made me laugh. She spent most of her time in Jungkook's room anyway so I didn't talk to her at all. I heard Namjoon mentioned a few things about the mission to the other members but never gave me any direct information.

It was a filthy low cloud sort of morning, where the rain spat meanly against the windows and it was hard to imagine the sun coming out every again. I was bored out of my mind and went to open the door, hoping that Taehyung forgot to lock it after lunch. To my surprise, it wasn't locked. Thanks, Taehyung for being distracted with your online shopping.

This was dangerous, I shouldn't leave my room. But I was so bored. Maybe I can sneak down into the training room and workout.

I opened the door as quietly as I could peeking out into the hallway. I felt like a teenager sneaking out late to get drunk while my parents were asleep. Except for me, I'm being held captive and I was sneaking around a house of 7 guys who want me dead. What a life I live.

I made it to the end of the hall when I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I wanted to hide back in my room but it was too far to run without making noise so I crouched behind a hallway table which was made out of glass so it wasn't really hiding me at all.
