Jungkook's POV
We ran. We ran faster than ever. Jimin was behind me, trying his best to keep up. I hadn't even noticed badly hurt he was. He was holding tightly onto his right arm and his face was beaten up. We made it to the back entrance door in a matter of seconds. The door was left wide open and not a person in sight.
"This way," Jimin said, limping ahead of me, leading the way. The hallway was long, bodies were scattered every few yards, some dead and some barely breathing. The lights were flickering and parts of the ceiling were broken and hanging low. Jimin led us into a second hallway where the number of unconscious bodies tripled.
"This was where I last saw her. She was shot right there" Jimin said, pointing to a spot on the ground.
There was a small pool of blood, where a gun laid right in the center and her mask right next to it. We carefully stepped over the bodies, going deeper into the warehouse. Emrie, where the hell are you?
"There's a bloody trail over here!" Jimin said, pointing to a different hallway. We both immediately followed it. Our pace and lack of time made us both sloppy. We weren't looking around to make sure the area was safe. Our eyes were only set on finding her.
The trail of blood led to a closed door. Blood was smeared on the door frame and metal doorknob. I opened it slowly, Jimin closely behind me.
There she was.
She was unconscious, her head hanging low. She was on her knees with each of her arms tied to opposite poles, holding her up. She was covered in blood, head to toe. I didn't know if it was all hers but either way, anyone could've mistaken her for a dead body. Jiyong and his men weren't around. No one was. They tied her up here to let her bleed out. How could someone do such an evil thing?
We ran up to her, each of us untying a wrist. The second she came loose of the ropes, her body dropped cold to the ground. I caught her and picked her up bridal style.
"Let's get out of here now!" I said. Jimin nodded and headed to open the door for me. We ran faster than when we came in. Kwon men could be heard from farther into the warehouse. They were yelling, angry about the attack. Little did they know, they were all going to blow up in a few minutes.
Jimin walked in front of me holding up his gun with his working arm, prepared to take out any guy that got in our way. We made it back to the first room when a man walked by. He was shocked to see us but reacted professionally and lunged at us. Jimin took two shots right to his chest. He dropped to the ground instantly, clutching his chest and struggling to breathe. We stepped over him and exited through the back entrance.
Running through the grass and fallen branches, I could feel the blood from her torso, seeping onto my shirt. I didn't even check her to see if she was alive or not. I just had to get her out of there. Even if she was dead, I'd rather her die in my arms then blown up like a worthless corpse. We made it back to the van and the door slid open.
Behind us, the sound of an explosion erupted, cutting the silence of the night. The whistle of splinters flying into the air and the sound of glass breaking was all we heard. We all turned our heads in unison to the warehouse. The once dark and rundown place was now a firework show. Orange and red flames bloomed from the top of the warehouse and the suffocating smell of dust filled the air.
I got in the van first, still holding her lifeless body in my arms, and Jimin followed in after me. Before Taehyung slammed the door shut, we had already begun to drive away. Staring out the window, the warehouse slowly burnt to a crisp. Not a sign of life exited it. We eventually make it back to the main road within a matter of minutes.
