Fey Mansion - 12 years agoI woke up to a jolt. Red and blue lights flashing through the glass windows of my room. Sirens getting louder and the lights get brighter. I looked over at the Hello Kitty alarm clock on my nightstand.
3:34 AM
I picked up my stuffed rabbit and walked towards Taemin's room. He awoke at my knock on his door, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "What is it Em?"
"Do you hear that?"
Taemin stayed silent, listening to the sirens outside, "It's probably just the neighbors. Go back to bed" he said still half asleep.
A loud bang on the front door snapped Taemin out of his fatigue. I clutched my rabbit harder and ran to him, as he took me into his embrace.
Another round of loud knocks hit the front door, causing us both to flinch. "Let's go get Sehun," he said.
We made our way down the hall and into Sehun's room where he was hiding under his bed. "Hyung! What is that noise?"
"I don't know," he said. Being the oldest of us three but only eleven years old, he said, "stay here! I'm gonna go check"
I refused to let go of his hand when the glass from the front door shatters. We all hid underneath the Sehun's bed, holding onto each other. What sounded like 100 footsteps erupted through the first floor and began to make their way upstairs and into each room.
"Fey Minseok! You're under arrest for the murder of Seoul police officer and sergeant, Park Ji-hwan" we heard from father's room.
We came out from hiding and peeked into the hallway when a police officer stopped us pointing a big gun at our faces. "Hey, there are kids in here" he yelled.
That was the last time I ever saw father. Him being lowered to his knees, hands up in the air, and 20 officers pointing guns and flashlights in his face. Sad to say, I didn't care what happened to him afterward.
Emrie's University - Present
Hyunjin's POV
I arrived at Emrie's school. Students walking in and out of buildings in backpacks and standing in groups of friends talking. Her General Biology class was set to end at 11 am in the academic building. I hope she's there. I stuffed my gun into the back of my waistband and stood outside the lecture hall, leaning against the wall.
At exactly 11 am, the door swung open and students begin filing out, each of them minding their own business and getting to their next class. I kept my eye out, hoping that Em would walk out with them. After a few minutes had passed, all the students were out and I entered the classroom, disappointed to see that mostly everyone was gone and she wasn't here. She wasn't one to stay behind class for extra help anyway. The room was as big as an auditorium with a massive projector up in the front. The professor stood in the front of the room talking with a few lingering students, answering their questions. I sat in one of the rows waiting for them all to clear out.
"Sir, can I help you? If you are not a student, you can't be in here" The professor said as the last student gathered his books and left.
"No, I'm not a student. I have a question for you"
"Yes?"
"Is Emrie Fey one of your students?"
"You mean that delinquent? Why yes she is"
"Has she been coming to class?"
"Are you a cop or something?"
"Or something," I said, lifting my shoulders slightly and dropping them. He rolled his eyes at me and exhaled out loudly.
