Emrie's POV

I took a taxi to Sehun's house. He lived in a small suburban house in the middle of Savannah, Georgia. His home was white with brick pillars supporting the roof, over the porch. Neatly trimmed bushes trailed around the side of the house and there was one car in the driveway. I walked up the front porch, ringing the doorbell. I waited patiently, anxious to see my brother. Sehun was always a softie. He was the least likely to ever be apart of a mafia but he would help his little sister if she really needed him. Right? Does 14 years change someone a lot? I certainly haven't changed.

The door opened and a woman appeared. She had light brown hair that was up in a messy bun. She had plump lips and an unnecessary amount of makeup on, "hi, can I help you?"

"Hi, does Jason Shay live here?"

"He does but he's at work right now"

"Where does he work?"

"Why? Who are you? Why do you need to see my boyfriend?"

"It's nothing like that. I just really need to speak to him. It's important"

"You can tell me and I'll pass on the news"

"No, I really have to talk to him"

"I don't think so," she said, shutting the door. I placed my hand against the door, stopping her from shutting it and giving her a dirty look. She exclaimed, "excuse me! Please leave"

"I need to speak to him and you're going to regret turning me away," I said, coldly with my hand still on the door.

"Are you threatening me? You don't scare me" she said, putting her hands on her hips.

"That's because you haven't met me yet. I can make you breathe out of your forehead" I threatened.

"I-"

"Where is he?"

"...Savannah Motors"

"See? That wasn't so hard" I said, walking off the porch, "and don't bother calling the cops. They won't do anything" I said, as she quietly put her phone back in her pocket.

I got in a taxi and headed over to his workplace. I pulled the windows down and enjoyed the smell and beauty of the South. Large oak trees lined all the streets with moss hanging from the branches. It was a beautiful sight to see during the day. In the night time, it would've looked like something out of a horror movie. The weather was incredibly warm, compared to Chicago. Savannah, Georgia was a beautiful town. Everything felt vintage, like the past never left. The town where history overpowers the future, where each path and each stone was placed for a deeper meaning.

After a short drive, I arrived at Savannah Motor Shop. He works as an auto repair mechanic? That's unexpected. I went up the front counter and saw an old man, reading a magazine.

"What can I do for you, darlin'?" Classic southern accent and chewing on a toothpick.

"Where can I find Jason Shay?"

"Shay. Hm... he was in the garage, the last time I checked"

"Thank you," I said politely, leaving the lobby and heading into the open garage. There was only one person here and he laid on a roller underneath a car, fixing the bottom. I knew it was Sehun instantly. I could only see his legs but with the pheromones he radiated, I knew deep down that it was him. I picked up a greasy auto parts magazine that laid flaccidly over a plastic stool. The sound of my footsteps echoed in the garage.

"Hey, Tony, grab me the needle scaler" the voice from beneath the car called out. It was deeper than I remembered but then again the last time we saw each other, we were children.
