Jin spent the next few days feeling a bit down, only because Namjoon wasn't with him. He wished Namjoon could stay home with him and be there when he needed comfort but all he could do was rely on texting him to get through the day with his irritating mood swings.
But unbeknownst to Jin, things are school were getting quiet hectic for Namjoon, but it was a good thing. Him and Luhan had both teamed up to take down Aeri, and it worked. The day before, they'd exposed her about her secret that she'd gotten pregnant last year and she went from queen bee to the laughing stock.
She got maliciously bullied so badly that entire day in school to her face and online, she didn't show up today. Namjoon felt good about it too. She deserved it. And almost like magic, people stopped bullying Jin online once Namjoon really had no choice to explain the situation to everyone. That's when they all started to side with Jin instead of being like Aeri and making fun of him.
Of course the rest of the friend group was surprised but they were fully supportive of the two and were still gonna be their best friends.
Namjoon sat at the lunch table with the rest of his friends, quickly calling Jin to check on him.
Jin immediately picked up. "Joonie?" He murmured. "Hey, baby. Are you doing alright?" Namjoon asked. "I miss you." Jin said, beginning to tear up. "Aww, I know. I wish I could be at home with you." Namjoon said sadly.
"Anything good happening at school, or is everyone still bashing you?" Jin asked. "Well, actually, things are getting a whole lot better. It's a lot to explain, I'll tell you when I get home." Namjoon said.
"How's our baby?" He asked. "A few kicks here and there. And these annoying mood swings." Jin giggled through his tears. "I'm glad you're doing okay, at least." Namjoon smiled to himself.
"I'll see you when I get home." He said and Jin hummed before hanging up. Jin sighed softly. Jin was almost done with school work for the entire year. Next week he had to take his final exams online and then he was done.
He was trying very hard not to be stressed because he knew it wasn't good for him or the baby, but it was kind of hard. Next year is their senior year, so he has to take care of a child on top of doing school work. It would be hard, but luckily he'd have the help of their parents.
After school that day, Namjoon made sure he thanked Luhan before leaving. He was a real life-saver in this situation.
When Namjoon arrived home, Jin's mother was home, but his father was still at work. "Hello." Namjoon greeted her as he entered the kitchen to grab a snack. "Hey, how was school?" She asked. "Better." Namjoon said.
"Have people stopped bullying Jin. I saw some really bad things they were saying online while I was going through social media today." She asked. "Yeah, some things were cleared up and people are apologizing now." Namjoon nodded.
"Well, you should go check on Jin, he's been a little down lately." She suggested. Namjoon went upstairs and set his backpack in his room before entering Jin's.
He was laying in his side, curled up in a little ball as he watched a tv show. "Hey." Namjoon spoke softly. "Hi." Jin murmured, in a bad mood again. He hated that he couldn't control his emotions.
"Are you okay? Mom says you've been feeling down." Namjoon sat in the edge of the bed. "I'm fine." Jin murmured. "Are you sure, because-" "I said I'm fine." Jin snapped. He frowned a little before he began tearing up.
"Okay, if you say so." Namjoon laughed a little. "I'm sorry, I d-didn't mean to be like that." Jin broke down into tears. "Aww, Jin don't cry. You can't really control it, can you?" He asked and Jin shook his head.
He caressed his face gently and wiped the tears. "It's okay, don't worry about it." Namjoon said. He waited for Jin to calm down before speaking again.
"Guess what happened at school yesterday?" Namjoon asked. "What?" Jin asked. "Everyone found out about Aeri, thanks to her ex." Namjoon said.
"Oh my- really? Is that why I've been getting apology messages all day?" Jin asked and Namjoon nodded. "I then really had no choice to explain to everyone what our situation was, that's why they feel bad now." Namjoon said.
"Everyone dropped being her friend, I'm pretty sure. She didn't show up to school today." Namjoon said. "She might be transferring, knowing her." Jin said. "I hope she does. We don't need to deal with her for one more year." Namjoon chuckled softly, Jin smiling at the thought.
"Are you sure you've been feeling okay?" Namjoon asked. Jin shook his head a little. "What's wrong?" Namjoon asked. "Just, I'm always tired now. I keep getting these annoying mood swings and I have to take my final exams next week." Jin said.
"Don't stress out about it, okay? You're gonna do just fine. And fine worry, I'm not gonna get mad at you because of your mood swings, it's gonna happen whether we like it or not." Namjoon laughed a little.
"Joon?" Jin whispered. "Yes?" Namjoon said. "Can we cuddle?" Jin mumbled. "Yeah, of course we can." Namjoon smiled. He took off his jacket before laying in bed beside Jin, spooning the younger.
"I wish I could be home with you all day. Sorry if it feels like I'm ignoring you in some type of way. I don't mean it, it's just hard to text you during class or my phone will get taken." Namjoon explained.
"It's okay, Joonie." Jin said quietly, holding Namjoon's hands that were placed on top of his tummy. "I just feel really bad about it, I'm sorry." Namjoon said. "Don't be." Jin assured.
"He's kicking." Namjoon laughed. "He's been doing that all day. It's been on and off." Jin giggled. "Well, at least the school year is almost over so I get to spend all summer with you." Namjoon reminded. "True." Jin smiled.
In all honesty, Jin was just ready for it all to be over but he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy small moments with Namjoon like this. He was happy Namjoon was there for him all the time.
