Three years later....
______
Jin and Namjoon had graduated college a few months ago and it was currently September. They'd moved out of their parents house into their own a while ago, located just a few streets away from their parents.

Today was their dating anniversary and Namjoon planned to do something very special, which I'm sure you know what I'm hinting at.

He planned to take him out later on today but right how, Namjoon was focused on getting their toddler up to go to preschool.

"But I don' wanna go to school." The little boy murmured as he pulled the blanket over his head. "I know you don't wanna go but it'll be fun. You had fun yesterday?" Namjoon reminded him.

"Nooooo!" Soohan whimpered as Namjoon pulled the covers away. "Come on, little one." Namjoon said and Soohan began tearing up.

Namjoon tilted his head to the side and shook it. "Don't start this, Soohan." Namjoon said as the boy sniffled and started to cry. Namjoon picked the three-year-old up into his arms, Soohan crying softly.

He carried him down the stairs and into the kitchen where Jin was making breakfast. He turned his head at the sound of his soft cries and frowned a little. "Why's he crying?" He asked softly.

"He doesn't want to go to daycare today." Namjoon chuckled, Soohan letting out a whine. "Aww, why? Soohan you love going." Jin wondered. "I don' wanna." He hiccuped.

"Shhhh." Namjoon murmured as he carried him over to the table. He sat down, the little one seated on his lap. Namjoon peered out of the window and smiled a little.

"We can go get ice cream after school, it's nice outside today. How's that sound?" Namjoon asked and Soohan lit up a little at the mention of ice cream.

"I wan' ice cweam." He cutely mispronounced the word and Namjoon smiled. He knew that'd make him happy.

After eating breakfast and helping Soohan get ready, Namjoon assisted the younger down the stairs. Jin stood in the foyer by the doorway, handing Namjoon Soohan's backpack.

Jin picked him up and kissed his forehead. "Have fun at school today, okay?" He said and Soohan nodded before Jin set him back on the floor. "I have to go somewhere after I drop him off but I'll be back after, okay?" Namjoon said and Jin nodded.

After Namjoon left the house, Jin stood there feeling a bit struck. "Did he forget?" He wondered aloud, thinking Namjoon forgot today was their dating anniversary. Namjoon definitely didn't forget though.

When they arrived at the preschool, Namjoon parked and unbuckled Soohan from his car seat, holding his hand as he led him inside. They checked in at the front desk before Namjoon led him down the hall to his classroom.

They waited behind the small line of parents and their kids before they got to the front. Namjoon knelt down to Soohan's height and smiled gently. "Have a good day, okay? I'll be back to pick you up." Namjoon assured.

"Bye, dada." Soohan waved as he entered the class, the teacher giving him a warm welcome.

Namjoon left the preschool and drove to the jewelry store where he had to pick something up.

He walked inside and waited at the front desk to be assisted. A women exited the back room and gave a small smile. "How may I help you?" She asked. "Yes, I'm here to pick up a ring." Namjoon said, feeling giddy inside.

"And what is your name?" She asked as she looked at the computer monitor. "Kim Namjoon." He said and she typed his name in. "Ah, and engagement ring?" She asked and Namjoon nodded.

She went back into the room before coming out with a small velvet box. "Is this the one?" She questioned as she opened the box and Namjoon nodded. She placed it in a bag and Namjoon purchased it.
