Letters And Shopping With The Weasley's

It had been a few days since the incident and Harry had been sent a letter each day. First addressed to the cupboard under the stairs and then when his Aunt and Uncle had moved him up to Dudley's spare bedroom, much to Dudley's protest, it said spare bedroom. In the end Vernon boarded up the letter box so nothing could get through. Today though nothing had been sent yet.

Harry was pouring Uncle Vernon some tea when he asked Harry "You know why today is a good day?" "No sir." Harry replied. "It's Sunday. No post on Sunday!" he replied excitedly. Just as he said those words a letter flew through the chimney and hit him in the face.Uncle Vernon stared at the letter and then turned to the chimney. Everyone followed his action as they heard a rumbling noise. Suddenly hundreds of letter few through the chimney pouring out and going everywhere. Harry jumped up and tried to grab one. As soon as he caught one though Vernon grabbed him then the letter. "That's it we're leaving. Going on holiday." Vernon shouted as he carried Harry out under one arm and shoved him in the car.

Once everyone was in he took off down the road muttering to himself. After a few hours they got to the coast and Vernon got out and went to a shop that was nearby. Everyone in the car stared at the shop waiting for him to come out. When he walked out he was carrying a long brown package and a big bag of what looked like supplies. He got in the car and started diving to the docks. Once there he made everyone get out and into a little wooden boat, which was moared near by where they were standing. Vernon started rowing out to see to a small rocky Island with a wooden house on it. Everyone got out and he unlocked the door. Once it was dark Harry realised his Birthday was tomorrow, not that he was expecting anything. Looking at Dudley's watch he counted down the seconds to go. 5,4,3,2,1 Smash. He jumped and looked at the door, well at least where the door was supposed to be standing.

He saw a large figure standing in the entrance way. Dudley, who had also woken up, whimpered. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia rushed downstairs, Vernon holding a shotgun and pointing it at the stranger. "Oh sorry about that" the stranger said lifting the door up and placing back upright. He looked round the room and saw Vernon with the gun. He walked over and bent the end unright with his hand. "That's better." he told him. The tall man turned and looked at Harry. "Hello Harry. Wow you've grown, I used to be able to hold you in one had." he told Harry. "Wait you know me?" he asked. "Oh sorry. I'm Hagrid. Rubeus Hagrid. I'm the Gamekeeper at Hogwarts. Knew your mum and dad." Hagrid introduced himself. "What's Hogwarts? And you knew my parents before the car crash?" Harry asked.
"What you don't know Hogwarts? And car crash kill Lilly and James Potter! DURSLEY!" Hagrid roared. Vernon paled "It was better that way. Non of that nonsense. Magic poppycock don't want that in my house." Hagrid glared at him, then turned and gave Harry a parcel on one of the letters. "Here you go Harry. Happy Birthday." Hagrid smiled at him. "T-thank you" Harry responded smiling back.

He opened the parcel first. Inside was a big cake with pink and green inching. He then moved to the letter. It told him all about Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and what he would need to get before terms started. He looked at Hagrid in shock. "You ready to go?" Hagrid asked him. He nodded happily in response. Turning to grab his cake he saw Dudley eating it. Hagrid glared and fired his umbrella at him. Dudley suddenly had a pigs tail. Harry laughed and he ran over to his parents. Picking up the rest of the cake he left with Hagrid ready to get his items for school.

A few days had past for Draco and he and his mother were meeting the Weasley boys at Diagon Alley to get their supplies for school, having received their letter's the day before. Smiling at the thought of seeing his friends/brother's he rushed to get ready for the day. Once dressed he rushed downstairs seeing that the twins and Ron's stuff was already here waiting for them to arrive later. He smiled and walked into the dinning Hall.
"Morning Mother" "Morning Draco. Eat up we leave in half an hour." she smiled at him. "Your Father had to leave early today as he has a buissness trip. He won't be back till a couple of days into term. Sorry Son." Draco's gmfaced dropped his Father didn't even say bye. But then he remembered that his friends were going to be here so he cheered up a bit.

After they had finished Narcissa apperated to Diagon Alley where they waited by the Floo Network Chimney for the three Weasley boys. After a couple of minutes Ron appeared followed by the twins. Draco ran up to them and greeted them. "Ron, Fred, George" he exclaimed as he hugged each of them individually. "I'm not Fred, he is" said Fred. "Nice try mate but your mark is showing." he told him pointing at the Blue feather sticking out from the top of his t-shirt. George laughed at his Brother then went over to greet Narcissa. Ron laughed "Everytime". Draco nodded laughing aswell. After a minute they went over to Draco's mother and Ron hugged her before they all headed off.

After a couple of hours they had all got everything they needed. Including new robes for each of them and a new wand for Ron and Draco. Telling the three gingers if they said anything to their Mother, Narcissa wouldn't send them their usual Christmas sweets. They all nodded wide eyed. Before they left for Malfoy Manor Narcissa bought them all an ice cream each saying that they better eat their dinner that Dobby was preparing for them later. They all smiled nodding.

Once back at the Manor they were all told to pack their trunks so that they didn't have to do it tomorrow or the morning before. They all nodded grinning at each other they grabbed their bags and raced to Draco's room to pack. While packing Draco learnt that Percy was unfact the new prefect of Gryiffindor, Ginny had the flu and their parents were going to Romania to visit Charlie with Ginny at Christmas, so they were going to stay at Hogwarts. Frowning at that he led them back downstairs to the drawing room where his mother was sat. "Mother?" "Yes Dear?" "Could these three and maybe Percy stay here at Christmas please?"Draco asked." I've already discussed it with Molly and Arthur. They already said yes, but Percy said he'll stay at Hogwarts to help the teachers with any students that stay." Narcissa said to the three boys. "Brilliant" said the twins in unison, everyone laughed at that.

After they thanked her they headed to dinner. They all chatted about Hogwarts. "We've got loads of pranks planned this year." George told them. "Great let us know when so we aren't caught in the crossfire." Draco laughed. Once dinner was finished they all thanked Dobby and the blonde and three gingers, went up to Draco's bedroom. They chatted and ate sweets til Narcissa walked in at midnight telling them it was lights out." Goodnight" all four boys said at the same time then laughing. They all climbed into bed and went to sleep looking forward to the fun day they had planned.
