The room was bare and large. The light was coming from the large glass windows and reflected on the glossy floor. A large bag then of weapons clanged onto the floor, as Cross wiped some sweat from his forehead, his armour was off as he was prepared to teach Dream on how to defend himself. Dream was looking at him kind of excited as he looked at the bag that had different slots for different weapons.

Cross glanced at Dream seeing how eager he was looking at the weapons. "Before we got onto these, I need to teach you basic self-defence without these weapons. Since that is going to be a more likely situation you will get yourself into." Cross guessed, though his estimate could be quite likely.

Cross then suddenly grabbed hold of Dream and put him other his shoulder. "Uh Cross!"

"How are you gonna escape?" Cross asked then, standing still. Cross then suddenly felt light punches on his back. "Really? You expect a kidnapper or the traitor to let go off you like that?" Cross went on sarcastically.

"Well I had another idea." Dream let out a small smirk. "But I don't think it's gonna work in this situation at the moment."

"How come?"

"Well I was gonna call for you to help me. But as you see."

"Okay." Cross got the idea then. "Dream, what you should do is try and shuffle off."

"How do I do that?!" Dream exclaimed.

"Put your hands against my arm and push yourself through." Cross explained then as he felt Dream do exactly that, soon freeing himself from Cross.

Dream hit the floor. "Haha I did it!" Dream announced proudly.

Cross smirked then. "On easy." He saw how Dream no longer looked as impressed at himself as he did previously. "Right now I'm going have a bit of a firmer grip." He walked back other to Dream and repeated putting him other his shoulder. "Try and break free."

Dream again repeated what Cross had told him to do previously, somehow still finding it easy enough get out and he soon slipped free. This process went on for a while, Cross increasing his grip and Dream getting out. Cross then began running around the room telling Dream to get out and Dream did.

"I'd say this is going quite well." Dream said after getting out again.

Cross nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're a lot stronger than most people would take you for." Cross stretched a bit more then. "Do you wanna try something else?"

"Of course!" Dream exclaimed happily, looking almost as determined as Cross was when he first arrived here.

"Well. How about you try and fight me." Cross suggested.

"No." Dream replied sternly. "You're too nice." He added afterwards.

Cross only sighed. "Dream. We both know you're not actually gonna fight me. But let's say someone not so nice, comes along and you have the opportunity to defend yourself. Practice with me." Cross said as he put an arm around Dream's shoulder.

Dream suddenly turned then and punched Cross in the gut as hard as he could. Cross yelled out in agony then as he pretty much crumbled down to the ground then.

"Did I do good?" Dream wondered then tilting his head at Cross.

"Yep." Cross said strained as he felt a little winded. "This is why guards wear armour." He saw Dream's hand come out towards him and he took it too stand up then.

Dream looked at Cross concerned. "Oh geez I'm really sorry Cross are you okay? We can take a break for you to recover." Dream offered then.

"Heh. I wouldn't be your guard if a punch to the gut was enough to bring me down." Cross wiped his mouth a little then. "Okay I'm gonna grab some targets which you can punch as hard as you can." Cross then went back to the bag and grabbed the soft target punching bags. Cross stood it up, stealing a glance at Dream.
