It was quite and dark now. The crimson red of the sunset had only just began to disappear and the stars were seen twinkling. There were so many in the sky that night, standing in-between the two spires of the sun and moon. Anxious chatter was in one room and one room in particular. It was away from the main hub of the castle as a private meeting between two strangers and the Captain of the guard were taking place.
The two cloaked figures, dawned the same cloaks as the previous attackers. One had an irritated look in his eye as he stared up at the grand castle. A room was particular being stared at by his watchful eye.
The other seemed perfectly happy to be wiping down a blood stained axe, with a blood stained cloth. A maniac gleam in his eye as the smell of the blood began filling the room. He was the taller of the two, however it was hard to tell who was who half the time, as they were brothers.
The third brother had ran from home a long time ago.
The door soon opened and in walked the Captain of the Royal Guard.
"We've been waiting for ya long enough." The axe was swung back onto his back. "So what ya got for us?" He smiled wickedly.
The Guard paused for a moment. "The Prince is leaving the castle." The two smiled happily.
"Well that makes our job a lot easier." The one perched near the window said, looking back up at the room. "Though I should of guessed that from his behaviour." He added afterwards.
The one with the axe just sighed. "Of course you should Dust. You're the 'smart' one." He air quoted.
Dust soon hit the other on the head. "Shut up won't you Horror." Dust said clearly annoyed.
Horror chuckled. "What offended?" He laughed even more. Dust let out an irritated breath before looking at the Captain again.
"You need to keep your voices down." The Captain hissed under his breath. "You know what'll happens if we get caught. The mission will be other." He continued.
The two shared a look, clearly not caring about whether or not they'll get caught now.
"But Princey boy is leaving." Dust stated as he pointed back at the castle. "So why should we care about being caught now?" He raised the question.
Horror put his axe back to his side. "You haven't hurt the Prince by any chance? Have you?"
The Captain froze for a moment. He didn't recall that when he grabbed Dream a bruise formed. "I don't believe so."
"He's lying." Dust quickly said. Horror rose his axe more.
"Should we do it?" He asked.
Dust hummed for a moment. "Well he's been so good to us. Serving this kingdom of good, so he could eventually betray them." Dust stood up. "Where are they going?" He looked back at the Captain.
"A place where the cure is." The Captain replied.
"There's like three places where the cure is!" Horror exclaimed loudly.
The Captain only sighed. "Well I don't know which one it is!?" The Captain also exclaimed clearly not happy.
Dust and Horror both just stood up then, as quite as can be. "Thank you for your service." Dust said as him and his brother left the room. "We'll be going now." He continued afterwards. "We no longer need your help."
Horror looked back at the Captain. "We'll let you live!" He said in a sing song voice, skipping away. And the two appeared into the darkness of the woods.
