Just something really short and soft

"Don't you dare!" You slurred at Loki when he was almost carrying you out of the bar. Thor, Jane and Steve just left to go back to the compound and finally end their night. But you on the other hand wanted to drink and party more. Loki was having none of it, seeing you in your drunken state.

"You can't even walk straight. I'm taking you home." Loki said bluntly, supporting you on his side.

"But I wanna party more! Can't you see Loki? The night is still young! And I have the desperate need to party!" You drunkenly declared, flailing your arms dramatically to the stars making Loki smile at your behaviour. "No darling, I am taking you home and that's final. No more arguments, I'm afraid you're going to fall asleep on the pavement."

You pouted up at him. "You're no fun. I thought you were the fun one?" You grinned up at him.

"I am the fun one. Only when the situation calls for it."

"Fine. Take me home. But you're coming home with me. Thor has a lady friend over and I don't think you'd like the noises."

Loki grimaced for a second before agreeing. "As the lady wishes." He hailed a cab and practically shoved you in before he went over to the other side and seated himself on the rough leather seat. Loki told the taxi driver the address, but the driver didn't budge seeing your drunk state.

"Ma'am? Do you know this man?" The driver asked carefully.

You bobbed your head up, "Huh? Oh! Yeah of course! Loki's my best friend! You don't need to worry mister cab driver. Thanks for looking out for me though!" You innocently smiled at the man through the mirror.

The cabby started to drive to the address, as time flew your head started getting heavier and heavier and finally found its way onto Loki's shoulder.

"Darling?" He asked softly, looking at you cautiously.

When you gave no answer, that signalled Loki to hush up and secure your head on his shoulder. Loki leaned his head on the cab window, looking out into the dimly lit Brooklyn streets. He too was starting to feel sleepy, luckily before he could shut his eyes, the driver stopped at the front of your townhouse.

"Darling? We've arrived. Wake up, little one." Loki cooed softly while he payed the taxi driver, he added a tip for being a good person and looking out for drunk women. You stirred and opened your eyes.

You slowly lifted your head from his shoulder, your eyes fixed themselves on his. "Hi." You said softly.

"We have to go."

"Oh." You groggily opened the cab door and dragged yourself out of the vehicle.

"Come on." Loki draped his arm protectively around your shoulders, giving you a solid form to lean into as well as a make shift human pillow. You slid your key into your door and opened it to reveal your very underwhelming Brooklyn townhouse.

Loki guided you up the stairs into your room. You immediately plopped yourself face first into your plush white mattress and comforter when you realized you're still in your night clothes.

"A little assist here, Lokes?" You asked. Loki sighed but still used his magic to rid of your night clothes and be replaced by a pair of silk pajamas that you obviously didn't own.

"You're the best." You goofily smiled before burrowing yourself in your thick blanker and pillows.

"I know." Loki smirked.

You padded the spot beside you. Loki eyed you weirdly, even raised his eyebrow. You groaned, "Come here you idiot." You padded the space next to you.

"I'll be alright on your couch." Loki replied courteously.

"My couch is tiny. I have a king sized bed. There's enough room for us."

"I assure you, darling. You do not need to share your bed with me."

"Lokes..."

"Alright, fine." Loki used his magic to rid of his 3 piece suit and replaced them with a matching set of black satin pajamas.

"Come, come."

Loki slid in next to you and wrapped himself with the blanket as well. You turned to your side to face him, aching to hug him and thank him.

"Thank you, Loki." You thanked him softly, most of your face buried in your pillow.

"It was nothing, darling." He too turned to his side to face you.

"You're the best, Lokes," You smiled at him. He dipped his head, a mild blush forming on his cheeks. "Are you blushing?" You chuckled out, teasing him. He burried his head further into his pillow. "No I'm not." Loki replied.

"Yes you are!"

"Am not! Gods do not blush."

"Well my adorable God of Mischief, does." You cheekily grinned and poked his cheek.

"Excuse me? I'm not your adorable God of Mischief."

"Then what are you?" You poked him again, making him peek through the pillow, his eyes glaring at you.

"I'm just your God of Mischief. No more, no less."

"Ah... So you like being mine then?" You teased, raising an accusing eyebrow. Loki growled, swiftly locking you in his embrace, your nose hitting his chest almost too hard.

"Loki! I can't move a limb!" You tried to thrash but to no avail. It left you giggling softly into his chest. You kept softly laughing but Loki did not let you go and he stayed dead silent. You sort of got concerned and looked up at him. You found him watching you intently, his eyes scanning over your face, as if he's trying to memorize every single detail.

"Loki?" You asked softly, he loosened his hold on you but did not let you go. "What is it?" You asked, nearly back to your sober state. His Adam's apple bobbed up and down.

"If I am yours, as you claim, then would you be mine?" He asked you softly, not even meeting your eyes.

"I don't understand, Loki."

"Will you be mine?"

"Am I not yet yours?"

"Not in the sense that I would find most appealing."

"Loki, you're being difficult."

"I love you. I wish for you to be mine. To be by my side all the time." Loki confessed softly, he was growing more and more terrified of being this vulnerable. This was a mistake, he thought, before you reached up and kissed him softly.

"I love you too, Lokes. More than you can imagine. I'm yours, from this day to eternity. I'm not leaving your side, I promise you."
