.DAY 1
"No."
"What do you mean 'no'?" Tony clapped back exasperatedly at the God of Mischief. "It has been ordered by our idiot president that we all observe self-quarantine!"
"Not my realm. Not my country. Not my president. We've been over this." Loki stood there an unimpressed look on his face, his arms were crossed as his foot was tapping rather enthusiastically on the floor.
"I understand that you don't get affected by human viruses but this spreads by droplets. The virus could stick to your clothes for hours. If you or your clothes touch something the consequences could be worse than you think." Steve explained from across the room, preparing himself a glass of water, effectively away from Tony and Loki.
"Please, brother. It's for the safety of everybody." Thor tried to persuade his brother.
Loki's foot tapped rapidly on the concrete floor, his finger twitching on his arm, his lower lip in between his teeth. He was certainly thinking it over. He wouldn't want to- nevermind. The men seemed to glance back at Loki and at each other whilst the trickster god thought it over. Tony looked back at Thor for any sign of affirmation, Thor shrugged and leaned on the wall and waited.
Loki grumbled a string of curses and sighed loudly. "Alright, fine. I'll agree to this quarantine sham." He said, already regretting his decision.
Thor beamed at his little brother. "Thank you, dear Loki! Besides, you can use this time to catch up with your literature so it won't be that harrowing."
"I suppose." Loki breathed out, bored.
Tony clapped his hands together, "Now that we got that settled. Here's how we're gonna do it! We take the top 3 penthouses in this tower so we won't have to leave the floors unless absolutely necessary. Barton is already at home with his family, doing that good husband stuff. Uhm... Banner and I take the highest one, Widow and Thunderhead take the lowest, and Loki and little miss pyro take the middles one." He raised his eyebrows and threw a thumbs up.
Loki seemed to gawk at Tony with an incredulous look. "Why should I stay with fire girl? Surely you'd want the Asgardians together and the women together?"
"Eh. I wanted to twist it up a bit." Tony sent a tiny wink to Thor.
"Norns help me." Loki softly said to himself, his head in his hand, rubbing along his forehead.
••••••••••••••
"Hey, roomie." You begrudgingly greeted Loki who was splayed on the couch, a thick and weathered book in his hands. You hauled your luggage into the penthouse. Looking around, it was very modern, no doubt furnished with an AI system, most likely JARVIS. There was a large flat screen tv in the living room, a marble counter topped kitchen, a full fridge, and two rooms that was right across to each other.
Loki grunted in reply and turned a page.
"Do you want tea or something?" You asked him while you were making your way to the kitchen.
"I am in no mood to eat. Not now, not later."
"Okay, geez. Just asking." Rummaging through the cupboards, you looked for your favorite snack. Your eyes gleamed brightly when Tony answered your wishes and added them to your and Loki's penthouse suite. "Oh, yes." You sighed before opening it and snacking on it while you unpacked in your room. Time passed and it was nearly dinner time so you trudged back into the main sitting area and went to the kitchen. You decided you were going to cook pasta for two, even though Loki was nowhere to be seen and had said he was in no mood to eat.
You shrugged and prepared it just the way you like it. You set Loki's plate on the counter with cheese beside it because you didn't know if he'd want the added dairy or not. You sat yourself on the couch and turned on Netflix to re-watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine when Loki emerged from his room to probably get some food.
"That's for you." You said nonchalantly, when you saw him looking at it curiously. He said nothing but nodded and took the plate into his room.
"This is gonna be a very quiet quarantine then." You quietly muttered as Loki shut the door.

DAY 2You woke up later than expected automatically crossing out breakfast in your schedule. Not that you had one, but still. Loki was already up and reading on the large couch, a floating cup of tea near his hand. You plopped down on one of the love seats and reached for the remote to turn on the tv and watch some more Netflix. "You don't mind if I watch some tv, do you?" You asked cautiously.
"I do not care. Just don't deafen me with the volume." Loki replied wothout sparing you a look. You nodded and continued watching your Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Lunch time came by and you wordlessly cooked food and placed Loki's plate infront of him. He in turn ate it without another peep as you watched the series and Loki read his book that was floating in his face. Surprisingly, Loki collected all the used cutlery and put them in the dishwasher. You gave him an incredulous look but still you gave him an approvingly look as he took your plate from your hands.
Soon after lunch, Loki finished his book, Brooklyn Nine-Nine was done. You were both too lazy to get up and do something else. You were even too lazy to get the remote. Loki didn't bother moving a limb or using his magic to pick up a new book in his room. He just laid on the long couch lifelessly.
"Mortal, I'm bored." Loki spoke or rather complained.
"You're not the only one, buddy." You replied, staring at the ceiling.
"Turn on the television." He requested ever so kindly like the dear Loki we all know and love (author's eye roll)
"No, you do it." You looked at him and waved a limb dismissively.
"The controller is closer to you." Loki groaned.
"You have magic. Use it." You groaned back.
"Too lazy. You do it."
You groaned long and depressing. You picked up the remote and browsed, uninterested in the content. Until you saw that Netflix has uploaded "Lord of the Rings", your eyes lit up and immediately chose the first movie as you were hoping to finish it properly.
"What have you chosen?" Loki asked.
"Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring." You said with subtle excitement in your voice.
"What's it about?"
"Elves and dwarves and wizards and hobbits. You'll like it. It's heavily influenced by Norse Mythology." You explained the smiled evident in your voice.
"You have piqued my curiosity, fire girl." Loki commented before shutting up and continued to watch the movie with you. The two of you sat there, unblinking, not moving, silent. Obeserving and absorbing the content infront of you. You could tell Loki was enjoying it because not once did he yawn or stray his eyes from the television.
"I'm beginning to enjoy the hobbits's presence. At first I thought they were for comedic purposes only but I stand corrected." Loki commented while watching a movie.
The movie continued and ended in the span of nearly 4 hours. "That was it?" Loki asked forthe ending was a little bit anti-climatic and teasing.
"Calm down, it's a trilogy, Loki." You replied and played the next movie while you started to make dinner. A bit unhealthy one because it was movie night. You made homemade pizza which Loki surprisingly liked, with a side of potato wedges and potato chips.
Loki used his magic to transport the plates to the dishwasher maybe because he didn't want to miss a single second of LOTR.
It was nearly midnight when the both of you finished the second part of the trilogy.
"I'm going to bed, Loki. If you want to continue, go ahead, I've watched it before. If not, we can continue tomorrow." You bid him farewell before retreating to your own room and face planting on the bed. Loosing consciousness seconds after your head met your pillow.
