(Y/N)'S POV

I hugged Ian, because I can't lose my baby brother. Ian hugged back with a small chuckle, "(Y/N)." he groaned, "Stop being such a mom."

"I'm not like a mom!" I said faking offence, "I'm more like the cool aunt if anything."

"Ian! (Y/N)! Look!" Barley said looking up to what looked like a raven?

"It's a raven." Ian stated.

"The clue on the menu said Raven's Point." I announced pulling the menu from the tavern out of my pocket.

"Yeah, in the mountains." Ian recalled, but Barely seemed to be catching on to what I was talking about.

"But maybe the puzzle didn't mean the mountain!" Barley exclaimed like a little kid, "Maybe it means follow where the raven is pointing!"

He ran under the raven and put his hands together to form a pointer. I followed his fingers and there was another raven. "It's another raven!"

"That one could be pointing to another raven, all the way to the gem." Barley said high fiving me, "I like how you think (Y/N)."

"Well I did get all the smarts from dad." I said flipping my hair.

Ian still looked dumbfounded, "I-I had us going the wrong way."

"Well I told you my gut knows were to go!" Barley said rubbing his stomach, "Come on guys, Guinevere will get us there in no time!"

Before we could say anything we heard the sirens of a police car. Sure enough there was a car, with Colt in it. The car pulled parallel to Guinevere and the colt opened the door. "You guys...." He scolded as he was trying to wedge his bottom out of the vehicle, "... are in trouble, big time."

"No, no no, Colt. We found a spell." Barley tried to reason, "If we finish it before sunset, we'll get to see our father.

I yanked the top part of dad off, revealing just his legs. Colt sprang back and backed closer to the police car. "Well, uh, your mom told me there was some kind of strange, um, family issue going on, and this is definitely strange."

"Don't call our family strange Colt." I hissed under my breath. Ian must've heard me and he put a hand on my arm.

"But, no! Gosh dang it!" Colt said as he continued ranting, "I'm not letting you upset your mother anymore. Now you get in the vehicle and I'm escorting you home."

"No! No way." Ian and Barley protested.

"I'm giving you to the count of three." Colt announced, before clopping his hoof on the ground three times."

"Fine." I said, "Barley, keys."

"B-but (Y/N)." Ian begged, tugging on my sleeve.

"He's a police officer. Keys."

Barley handed me the keys, and I got into the driver's seat. Ian slid into the passenger and Barley and dad were in the back. Barley put his head in his hands and sadly asked me, "What are you doing?"

"Yeah, (Y/N). This was the only chance we had to see dad."

A smirk played on my lips as I started the engine. "Oh little brothers. You need to trust me sometimes." I said as I floored the gas pedal. Being a notorious street racer had it's perks.

Both of the boys's faces lit up as we sped forward. Even Ian was laughing like a maniac and looking out of the window at Colt. Ian would normally be scared out of his wits right now, I guess we cured him. Barley's yelling broke me out of my trance, "YEAH! (Y/N)dore Lightfoor, breaking the rules."

"I can't believe that we're running from the cops!" Ian shouted with a half smile.

"We're not running from the cops." I told him, "We're running from our mom's boyfriend."

As I said that a whole bunch of cop cars came from the front view. "Okay, now we're running from the cops." Barley called back.

I used my street driver knowledge and swerved a hard right. I didn't see the fence in front untill I crashed through it. I drove straight and thank goodness there was a road. I turned sharp onto the road, and in doing so I gained a little speed. The boys were smiling and laughing like this was the best day of their lives. At least I got to make my brothers happy if this didn't work out. I saw the raven out of the corner of my eye, but the road didn't go that way.

"HOLD ON!" I shouted and I sped off of the paved road and onto a rockier one, that lead closer to the raven. My brothers screamed out of excitement as I drifted, making the turn.

"YES! Nice going Guinevere!" Ian cried, 'petting' the dashboard.

The three of us laughed until we saw the unmistakable orange of a road closed sign. Quickly I switched from the gas pedal to the brake pedal. I tried to back up the way we came, but there were cops coming down the road. We leapt out of Guinevere and Ian started to worry again. "Oh, what did we do? You shouldn't have driven away!"

"No, it was great!" Barley counter-argued, but then he shoved Ian's wizard staff into his arms, "Hey, block the road with those boulders."

"What? How?" Ian squeaked.

"Arcane Lightning."

"What? You said that's the hardest spell."

"You are ready Ian." I butted in trying to boost my littlest brother's confidence.

"'To make lightning strike with ease, one must follow all decrees.' You have to do everything. Speak from your heart's fire, trust yourself, focus, all of it."

Ian turned back to the rocks and shouted, "Voltar Thundasir." A little lightning sprayed out of the top, but it was nowhere near what we needed. "Voltar Thundasir." he tried again. This time the lightning came out of the staff, but it was still little.

The sound of the sirens came closer, and if Ian didn't do this we would be caught. "I can't. I can't do it." he sighed, "We're not gonna see you dad. And it's all our faults."

Barley and I looked at each other, then to dad. I nodded and he took out a tape from his jacket. I sighed and nodded, knowing what he was going to do. He started Guinevere and took out the tape from his jacket. It said Rise to Valhalla on it, after a joke that we had together. Valhalla is where the fighters go after they die in battle. Both Barley and I had decided that when Guinevere was about to die we would play this mix. He patted the dashboard, and I walked over and touched the exterior. "What are you two doing? Why are you acting so weird?" Ian questioned.

With no words I backed up from Guinevere and Barley picked up a rock and set it on the Gas pedal. He aimed the wheels and turned the gear to 'O' and Guinevere sped away. Barley and I saluted as we watched Guinevere go. The front headlight fell off. Ian was still confused at why we were acting so weird, but he got what was going to happen. The tire popped, and the glove compartment must've opened because all of Barley's parking violation tickets poured out of the sides. The van rolled onto a rock and flew into the air, slamming the rock formation in front of it. The whole thing fell down and crushed Guinevere.

The cop were trapped on the other side. Barley and I looked at each other and put down our hands. He walked forward and picked up Guinevere's headlight. "Barley." Ian said approaching his brother.

"She was just a beat up old van." Barley sighed, "Come on, we gotta go."

With that we slid under the barrier and walked toward the raven.
